I'm just here to say I was here before the game was pulled for eternity.

The story is pretty crap. You're meant to sympathise with two children but their struggles are so incredibly contrived - all of their problems could have been resolved if they didn't have garbage parents who are Boomer/rich people stereotypes. The girl Michelle's story is a little bit better but still not good, and for some reason they gave her and her teacher/babysitter (it's not clear for me what she is) heavy French accents but they don't just speak French.
The boy, David, has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ voice actor that very clearly tries to deepen his voice as he gets older. But his father is irredeemably annoying and pigheaded.
For some reason you can't use altars to help David, only Michelle? Weird.
The graphics are pretty from a distance but the water is some of the worst water I've ever seen - not even a splashing particle effect seen in Nintendo 64 games.
The controls are awful - a run TOGGLE instead of a run hold button, tank controls, a jump that is way too far for most short jumps, jump puzzles that can't be done while running, and controls that stay in keyboard mode the whole time (meaning you don't get controller prompts).
The fact that they have this big exploration game but you can't actually go to many areas because of invisible walls is frustrating. I can't even jump off a small cliff half the time.
Lots of weird dead-end paths.
A map of the world would be nice.
Not a stimulating game beyond 15 minutes.

I've made it to the arbitrary 25-hour point that I feel is solid enough to give a brief overview of my general thoughts and some positive as well as negative thoughts. For reference, I'm running on Steam, all settings except resolution are maximum; I'm running an AMD 2700X stock, 64Gb Kingston RAM, an MSI Mech 5700XT (factory OC), and I've got a Samsung 970 PRO NVME I have it installed on. I am playing the game on the hardest difficulty and I alternate between an Xbox 360 controller and KB/M. I play at 59FPS (my monitor's refresh rate is not 60Hz for some reason) and it dips to 40 in heavy areas.

The introduction to the game by way of a cool opening video is quite captivating and does well as a preview of what's to come if you've never seen any promotional material at all for it, but reading captions and watching the video was quite a challenge.
I love the fact that the game has a Dragon Age: Origins style opening act and callback feature where you can constantly use your 'origin' to help you out in certain situations. But I then became disappointed because you don't actually get to play out your admittedly really cool first mission to its fullest, nor do you actually get to stick around in that storyline as that 'origin'. I picked the Corp starting point by the way and I was quite excited to do some wicked corporate espionage and fighting-within-the-system style questing but alas, that is not what I was going to get.

Oh well. Move on to the main story!

I quite enjoyed how they handled the transition between the prologue and act I, and every mission so far has been quite interesting if not exciting. The stuff that happens with the VIP (being vague, but I feel like you'll know what I mean if you've reached that point) was absolutely enthralling, and all the steps leading up to that point were fantastically paced, entertaining, and engaging, all leading up to satisfying payoff.
I am thoroughly surprised by how they've characterised Keanu Reeve's interesting personality. But I interpreted a very different purpose for him in the story from the promotional material, and I also got the feeling that he was going to be a pivotal member of the cast from the moment of 'new game' but he's actually surprisingly deep into the story.
I think all of the characters are quite good so far and I don't dislike any one of them. I made the first of many important choices and my choice was the man instead of the woman (again, being vague here but I think you'll get me) because I thought it'd lead to some kind of neat revenge plot. A quick note: you're rewarded for siding with either choice but the reward goes nowhere since something prevents you from collecting your supposedly huge reward.
Playing around, I get this vibe of Grand Theft Auto II combined with Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Watch_Dogs. It's fascinating and very fun.

One of my most prominent and early gripes is that there is no third-person camera for walking around which is just baffling to me, especially since we get to customise our character. I am rather upset by this meaningless restriction especially since we know the engine is already capable of third-person cameras in the Witcher 3. But kudos to the team for giving us A REAL PHYSICAL BODY in the first person view. Huge immersion bonus there.
Speaking of bodies, I am so thrilled that you can mix and match your body type, voice, and genitals. I feel this is a great game for trans, non-binary, and gender-fluid people. I elected to have a female-presenting character with a big ol' D. The reason I do mention that specifically though is because of something that I'm not sure if it's a glitch or if it's just lazy design but you for some reason can't take off your underwear at all, even with the nudity censor disabled. It's strange because your character is CLEARLY modelled to be totally naked, you even have breast and penis physics (woo!) but it's kind of meaningless because you at best can only be topless, and for some reason, you only have 'typical' genitals when having fun with joyboys and joygirls (and for anyone that this matters: if you're a female-presenting character, you seem to be a sub during these encounters, not sure if it's the opposite for a male-presenting character).
The combat is pretty good in general and I love that you can just decapitate people with melee weapons. The junk-collection and the RPG-Shooter style combat is heavily reminiscent of Borderlands which is good, I think. There's a decent quantity of weapons but you very quickly get to see most of them beyond 'Iconic' weapons (i.e.: uniques). I find that the combat can be a bit iffy when it comes to stealth - you're fine for the most part but cameras seem to have infinity range, and you effectively cannot escape 'combat mode' unless you leave the area, so if you get caught there's NO reason to try and continue stealthing.
Be careful though: this is another game that doesn't hold your hand when it comes to who, what, when, and where you fight - it will give you some indication of difficulty but it's a vague "Normal Threat" all the way up to "Very High" threat which doesn't really explain anything. For God's sake don't do the brawling missions until you're very high in your Body stat and preferably get the Gorilla Arms. I spent almost 25 minutes straight trying to fight Rhino doing less than 100 damage on a good hit. I beefed myself up and sailed through the other brawls.
Something that isn't made clear is that you have to go to different ripperdocs to get different cyberware!
The graphics are quite nice and I'm able to run the game without stutters at al. Loading times are brief and extremely infrequent. Although there's quite a lot of graphical bugs, especially with shadows and extreme draw distances. There are sometimes clipping issues too where your body parts will not properly fit your clothes, and I've had certain body elements like scars 'stick out' from the body. But otherwise, the game looks quite nice and I haven't seen any particularly blurry or muddy textures.
The driving is... weird. It's so stiff and unnatural, driving a motorcycle is tricky, and turning sharply is impossible. Thankfully crashing is pretty inconsequential and most objects are destructible with almost no effort, but peds die with the slightest bump meaning you'll be getting wanted frequently if you're not careful.
There's also the matter of the hordes of children roaming the streets for no discernable reason. Like there's NO in-game explanation for this at all, and their voice actors sound like adults making me think it's actually adults in cybernetic child bodies.

I understood that there are romance options in this game? But I haven't found a single one yet.

There are definitely bugs and glitches. I haven't encountered as many as PC Gamer as which seemed like they were getting them constantly and consistently. I would get the rare T-Pose, physics weirdness, and random objects having no fog effects in the distance. Occasionally I'd encounter an issue where if I looked at a context item that characters react to but then quickly look at another, it cancelled the first one out. There are also a LOT of audio bugs - most of the time people are quiet as hell and if you're not facing directly at them then you're almost deaf. Sometimes characters would be incredibly loud though.
The worst bugs for me though are the rather frequent crashing to desktop and it always seems to occur during combat too.
There are also some weird boundary issues with certain objects and areas. For example, in the garage of one of the earlier where you're supposed to get into the car with Jackie, there's a tiny area you can explore to the right of the elevator that's really easy to squeeze into but getting out of is really tricky and I almost had to restart an earlier save. That's just one example of many clipping and boundary issues.
Sometimes there are also UI bugs where I'd have to close and reopen a menu to get certain element

This is the port that we should have always had. Better in every way, really. I reviewed the first Steam port of this game favourably too. Considering that most of this had to be done from scratch it's very impressive.

Keep in mind though that this edition does have a couple of bugs over the original but it's to be expected given that this is a hack on top of a hack on top of spaghetti code.

All in all, I'm happy with this. Lots of features particularly useful for veterans of the game like me who just want to play around with stuff. If you've never played FF8, this is the one to get!

I like Halo. I love RTS games. This does a great job of marrying the two and getting back to its roots (the original Halo was meant to be an RTS). The story is actually decent with some good production value behind it.

Easy to pick up and play every now and then even if it's not as engrossing as other RTS games. Makes good use of the Halo license.

I play it because I love Fallout and I love turn based strategy but MAN is this ever a painful experience. It's a good thing we have Fallout 76 these days so I can stop saying this game is the worst Fallout game.
It's not necessarily a bad game or I obviously wouldn't play it. But eh hardcore fans only really.

STO is the best Star Trek experience one can have which is unfortunate because it's not actually a phenomenal game, but it hits all the right notes and is good enough to enjoy for quite a while. I can definitely say that the developers have put a lot of content into the game and continue to do so, it doesn't feel dead at all.

Combat is very fun and satisfying and I appreciate that there are ground missions as well as space missions. You don't have to grind for an eternity to feel powerful but you still have to grind for an eternity to get many useful items.
So much of the game asks you to open your wallet, but at least what they give you is very useful and cool. Tons and tons of ship designs to choose from but more importantly you can customise almost any ship in almost any way.

I've managed to play just fine without spending more money than for one ship (just because I wanted to, didn't feel the need to) and haven't encountered any road blocks.

The story quests are enjoyable and feel lore-friendly, I like that this is considered canon or based off canon so we don't feel so disconnected (seeing Captain Nog was quite a surprise!) I personally HATE how this is based off of the Picard timeline since that show is actually fecal matter but whatever, it's better than nothing.

The only nitpick I have is that it feels super unrealistic to receive a ship commission as a Lieutenant fresh out of the academy to being an Admiral in what feels like days (they never specify just how long it's meant to take between the first mission and any others). Don't get me wrong, I'm happy you get to rank up as I hate military games where you stay the same rank in spite of saving the universe 53 times, I just wish it made a bit more sense.

All in all, if you're a Trek fan or you enjoy MMOs, you'll have fun with this. I like to imagine this as baby's first EVE Online.

Such a phenomenal RTS.
Although I much prefer Red Alert to the original C&C, and this title is missing the best C&C game which is Tiberian Sun, this is still an outstanding remaster and brings me joy to relive my childhood but with better *everything*.
