The whole series is quite enjoyable and well made.

I cant recommend it for the price of 18$, but when it goes on sale, absolutely its a great game if you want a relaxing coop puzzle solver.

Dont go into it expecting anything other than good coop puzzle solving, a decent little bit of story, and quite a few times of frustration trying to figure out what the heck your partner is describing to you, lol.

If you just have to pay to purchase skins and maps, this would be pretty awesome.

Sadly in the end you have to pay literally just to play even if you already own the maps(5 tokens per match, tokens which you have to purchase).

Microtransaction BS, avoid it once youve used the tokens. Get a key for Risk: Factions instead.

Its essentially an early terraria + stardew valley combo.

Combat isnt as good as terraria, but it still feels similar, and good for early access. Same for farming, not as good as stardew, but not bad.

Exploration is fun for a few hours, though it is a bit bland eventually(not as good as minecraft or terraria exploration, but this game is also much newer so keep that in mind).

It even has a little factorio thrown in for good measure, with conveyor belts and arms/drills, though it is super limited in scope/use.

The overall experience is very good though, for an EA game thats only been in EA a couple months(even if you rush it with friends, youll probably get at least 8-10 hours out of it). Prior to the sunken sea update, it had about 15 good hours of content, and Id estimate 20-25 hours of total content(making a pretty base, ect). Now? Even more, going to have to play the new update and find out myself :)

Claims shared/split sceen coop.

That is only true for the CONSOLE versions, and has been taken out of the PC version entirely(with no explanation that I know of).

Despite reporting this to steam and posting on the forums, it hasnt been addressed.

The game is fun, though you need to try 5-10 times to get into a match(with it saying failed to join over and over), as EA are too cheap to provide more servers, so youre essentially in a queue.

Downvoting for utterly false advertising, and the main reason I purchased it(to play with my kids).

If you just want borderlands gameplay... this has it.

If you want any type of decent storytelling... this is a pile of garbage.

Also, the final boss fight is a joke, and a friend who played through it on coop with me was convinced it wasnt the end of the game until the credits ended. Such a letdown.

The other games destroy this one.

Its fun, and has a lot of promise, but the difficulty ramp, like others have mentioned, is a bit over the top atm.

Doesnt have tons of content, but there is definitely enough to keep it fun for a bit, and it has a really good foundation so far.

Add a bit more content, and fix the ridiculous difficulty(lowest difficulty map friend and I STILL cant beat, even as vets in these tower defense style coop games, when we play it practically flawlessly. Gets frustrating), and this game will be totally fantastic.

Its creeper world.

If you like tower defense, buy it. Simple as that.

Main campaign is pretty badly designed, feels more like a DLC campaign.

The factions are fairly unique, but because of the "time attack" design of the main campaign, it honestly doesnt feel like you can fully enjoy them.

As of this review, the game is now CTD every time I try to play a new/load a campaign, after 79 hours of only a few crashes(a few crashes in that time period is fairly stable for a new TW game). So... going to give a thumbs down.

Already would have recommended against because of the horrid design of the main campaign, but giving an actual negative review now because of the CTD.

Who did you even have playtest this shi%&y campaign CA? Do better.

Diablo 2 with bad graphics.

Can be played multiplayer using remote play together.

Its very good.

Its a bit grindy(not the character levels, all the side collections, crafting, ect), and it doesnt feel difficult in any way so far(mid 30s characters for us), but... its free.

Where Id call diablo 1/2, or torchlight 1/2 dungeon crawlers, Id honestly call this dungeon crawler light. It wont satisfy as nicely as those games do... but once again, its free.

Graphics are totally beautiful, animations are as well. Flip side? Dialog is utterly boring, and the voice acting is laughable and predictable. Essentially just gets the job done. But for the final time, its FREE.

For it being free, theres a crapton of content, and if you like dungeon crawler style games, it will at least keep you entertained. Therefor I approve and recommend it.
