After 100% this game within a span of a couple of days, and as someone who has consider JSRF to be the best game of all time, awaiting a sequel for over a decade, I am proud to say that this is easily the best spiritual successor to it. Not only are there plenty of references to JSRF, such as certain dances and having the great Hideki Naganuma on their side, but this game truly embodies the spirit and movement of the game flawlessly. I would even go as far as to say that the movement in this game is even better than its predecessor.

I do have only a few issues with this game, however. My first being that I feel like there is a lack of content. Only a handful of maps exist which is unfortunate since a game with game-play as good as this deserves to have more content. Another issue I encountered was the story. Now I don't think that a game like this really even needs a great story, but there is a huge plothole regarding the main characters... "Upgrade." I'll try not to say too much but it was more of a "Why didn't they do this earlier?" Kind of moment.

I also have a neutral comment since you can argue if this is good or bad. There are no instructions or hints regarding to the fact that each mode of transportation has a hidden unique ability. The bike one is easy, since the bike doors have a bike symbol on it, but I found the skates and the skateboard ability to be less intuitive. I'm all for no hand holding when it comes to great single-player games, however I had no idea I could use the skateboard on the fire hydrants, or the skates on certain glass to access other areas.

Finally the good. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I said it before but man does the movement feel great. The music is splendid, the art is beautiful, I could kiss the artists who worked on this game. There is a right amount of challenge to each level, the map design was clearly well thought out as you can find yourself making beautiful loops in several ways around them, I could go on and on. Seriously, a great game.

Overall, buy the damn game. Seriously, this is the first time I was not disappointed by a JSRF successor.

uh so i dont really do these but basically heres what i think about this game.
the remastered version is pr good ig making the game look better is at least a plus but there are still a lot of jpgs flying at you instead of a full 3d model.
as usual the music in this game is amazing and the voice acting (rarely) is good.
holy f*** i hate the double jump mechanic its so bad. basically if you wanna double jump, you can only do it BEFORE vince starts falling making timing your double jump pretty annoying at times especially when there are a lot of levels where the double jumps matter.
there are also a lot of bugs in this game where you just randomly die on tiles where you shouldnt.
tldr i really only enjoy the music of this game and ifyou are going for nostalgia go right ahead idrc but the gameplay is garbage voodoo doo doo xdxd.
