I like the setting and the story. Art style is also very pleasing. English dubbing isn't great but fortunately polish voices were added which are better and lack of them was a glaring omission at release. Combat mechanics are a bit tedious but number one reason for negative review is that I happened to play this on SD.
The game is marked as Steam Deck verified which was proudly announced by developers. It just isn't. And if this verification is working as intended then it doesn't mean anything. Game has "steam deck" performance profile created by developers so i stuck with it. I am not picky about graphics but with those settings you are reminded how tree textures looked in the 90's. You get to see them up close in the cut-scenes but it takes a while to recognize what they are supposed to be because of insane artifacting from FSR. "ultra performance" upscaling TO 800p. What could possibly go wrong? All of that while Steam Deck wants to fly away ramping up the fan to 100%. To be fair out of cutscenes game is playable and surprisingly smooth but not pleasurable. Artifacts make mild snow appear as blizzard on the screen. You can turn upscaling off and it helps visuals greatly but then 30fps is the maximum you can expect. Often way less. Overall this game is "playable" on deck at best. Either UE5 is too heavy for this platform or developers did lazy job optimizing for it. Either way I experienced the game on what is supposed to be supported platform with recommended settings and I feel that my criticism regarding performance are hence my negative review are completely justified.
