I really like this game.

It definely has that Classic Astroids appeal to it, but it looks and sounds soo much better.

The game play is solid with lots going on, astroids, ships, rockets and powerups flying all over the place. It can get crazy and chaotic, but that's were the fun is. I caught myself laughing multiple times when i would get myself into a spot that I just knew I could get out of, but didn't.

One of my favorite parts of the game is that you start with 3 lives, but you have unlimited continues. There is a score/leader board for First set of lives, and most points in a set of lives. This is one of those quick paced games that could get frustrating for some if you had to start over after ever set of lives, especially since the astroids and encounters seemed so random, it wasn't like i could figure out a pattern to get farther..i had to play better...or continue! LOL

I also really enjoyed the visuals and the soundtrack to this game. It's very pretty and the music was quite catchy. There was enough music variety that it didn't get old...even during some of the longer sessions I have spent with this game (2-3 hours).

The game supports both keyboard and Controller and I have had luck with both input choices. It really is a matter of preference. I do think this game would work as a dual stick shooter and there were times (because of some of the other games i've been playing) that I would try and play it like a dual stick.

I would recommend this game. I have really enjoyed playing it and have come back to it multiple times since I got it. You can play a quick round or two to kill some time, or dig deep and try to get to level 10 (i believe that is the highest level at the moment) and go for a personal or global high score.

One of the first dungeon crawlers that I'v ever really gotten in to. Lots of loot and quests. The art style is one that i really like also. Great colors and kewl looking enemies. Definitely would recommend this one. I will be picking up the 2nd one when i finish this.
