Simple & short VN with cute characters and a cute story. Safe for all ages.

The plot explores an array of potential problems in a future where brain-computer interfaces become commonplace. There's also some comedy sprinkled in and a teensy little romance subplot along the way.

The MC isn't rude thankfully, but isn't very memorable either. Rina and Tsubasa (featured in the cover photo) are the two who really make VN enjoyable. I really enjoy the character design.

The artwork is exellent - and if there were ever a continuation, I would buy it for sure.

VRChat is, in my opinion, the backbone of PCVR.

It's not a traditional game with winners or losers - at its' base it's more of a VR chatroom... but being infinitely customizable means yes, you can in fact play & even make VR games in VRChat. A good comparison would either be Garry's Mod, Second Life, or even Minecraft. VRChat is a sandbox VR game.

When you first jump in, you'll be starting with choosing your avatar. Your avatar can be anything - literally anything - that can be a game object within the Unity engine (there may be a few parameters you need to stay within, but only a few). Finding an avatar in-game is as easy as pie - and uploading your own through Unity is too. Whether it be a 2 dimensional meme, a 3d cel-shaded anime cat girl, a model imported from an old PS2 game, a bird, cow, or an entire map. Your identity in this game has infinite potential - and that's where the fun begins.

Along with being the backbone of PCVR, VRChat also remains the leader of social VR... As the connections you'll make in this game can last a lifetime.. similarly to making friends IRL. It's true, in VRChat you can achieve a feeling of closeness even with people who are, in reality, very far away. This can be a life-changer for long-distance couples, those with social anxiety, or those of us who just don't really feel like going out much.

How immersive this game feels, is up to you. Both figuratively and literally - have an open mind and VRChat can be one of the most immersive experiences in VR you can have today - and your ways of adding to that immersiveness are endless. Use your imagination: see a chair without colliders? Position your avatar to sit on it. Is there a bed in the world? Go lay down on it. A dance floor? Dance on it. A bar? Bartend it! When you go to a virtual world filled with people who ACT like it's the real world - the whole experience starts to feel more... real.

This applies to hardware compatibility too... Want to have full-body tracking? Check, native support. Eye tracking for your avatar? Check, native support. Want to hook up a vibrating chest rig? Easy. Mocap? Easy. A vibrating... toy? Easy.

The mod & development community in this game has very few rivals. As I've said before, Garry's Mod & Minecraft work out as great comparisons because they're the only games I can think of that offer the same level of seamless customization. Nearly anything you can make, build, or import into the Unity game engine can then be imported into VRChat by anyone. There is a massive community of world creators, game devs and avatar creators that work almost every day to grind out fresh content for this game. Almost all worth checking out.

There are very few negatives when it comes to VRC in 2023. The developers are for the most part in tune with its' community, working continually to optimize the experience of the game.

In regards to performance in high population worlds, VRChat slogs. To be expected perhaps, when you allow amateur creators to upload things as they want into the game, while only giving general guidelines - but I think the next step for social VR is the step into BIG worlds with BIG populations than can run smoothly on any hardware (while not looking like the Miiverse). But maybe that's just a pipe dream for now :P

CS:GO Review
The definitive (near) zero sum competitive FPS experience. A game that has passed the test of time.

It's balanced at its' core with solid gunplay and time-honored maps. The mechanics, weapons, and all its' parts are constantly chiseled down and polished by Valve with regular patches & hotfixes.

Using an engine as old as time, it can run smoothly on basically any machine. It's deeply modifiable too and with that stands to maintain its' more casual fans.

With an active player base of close to 1 million people - it's the only shooter with a presence in the e-sports scene similar to that of MOBAs like League of Legends.

CSGO's competitive community remains its' glaring flaw. Cheating is absolutely rampant due to Valve's decision to keep their anti-cheat non-invasive - spawning third-party 'premium matchmaking communities' like FaceIT that thrive solely due to Valve's hands off approach...

...and the truth is unfortunately, even with these additional third-party, invasive, anti-cheats, ONLINE hacking in these games remains an unsolved problem, even at the highest levels. Muddying the waters for anyone with a legitimate desire to go from playing online, to pro.

CS2 is coming this summer, and with it a re-imagining of the game. A lot of community requested fixes and updates are being added. No more 64-tick. No more scuffed smokes and molotovs, visual updates to the DREARY looking maps we've all been playing for years and years.

Enough to make a good game exciting again if you ask me ~

Awesome rhythm game & arcade shooter. A must-have for PCVR.

It's a demonstration that the more fun a game is, the more immersive it can be. Beat Saber doesn't make me feel this bad ass.

An apt comparison would be SUPERHOT - but where the point system is rhythm based. For arcade gamers, Time Crisis (you'll be doing lots of crouching/ squatting to dodge bullets).

The music is pretty unique. Limited - but really fits the theme of the game, adding again to the immersiveness.

As of 3/2023, there is no way to make custom beatmaps - but adding a beatmapping tool is in the developer's roadmap for the year - and should be the final piece needed to solidify its' place in the rhythm gaming community.

There is a watermark that takes up your entire screen repeatedly while you're playing if you don't own this. I own it now for this reason.

The fact there is going to be a televised tournament for this game while it's still in such a broken state is embarassing.

The game concept is fun.

The game itself will be bad until some semblance of effort is made to fix issues. However, the same bugs that plagued this game 2 years ago still continue to exist to this day... and there is no trade-off... like decent updates... or constantly requested gameplay changes.

There is such a disconnect between the people who regularly play this game and the developers... who seemed to pretend the biggest issues didn't exist UNTIL a game came out that could compete with it (battlegrounds)..

Wait until full release and you will have a lot more fun IF they decide to FIX IT before considering it 'out of' early access.

Update 8/28:

I've redone this review several time over the past 2 years and this game is still a piece of ♥♥♥♥. It's a money sink and nothing more. Buy at your own peril.
