An in dept story, with character creation, and more. I LOVED this game, it was unique, fresh, and the perfect game for solo or group gaming sessions. Thank you Larian Studios for creating such a great game.

Besides the sound bugs (audio completely cutting out and the game freezing), and the crashes, this game is enjoyable. AVADA KREVADA!!!

Dying Light 2 offers a whole new DL experience with a brand new main protagonist; Aidan, who ironically sounds much like our previous DL protagonist Kyle Crane.
There is much to love about this game, to include the visuals and parkour; although I must add the parkour has it's issues from time to time.
So let's delve right into this game and explore it's pros and cons.
WARNING SPOILERS!!!!

I like to start with the cons since they are the aspects of the game I didn't enjoy and ending on a good note is always best.

Cons:
-Combat: is it not surprising that combat in this game did not live up to the first game. Enemies able to block even when you aim for their legs, enemies dodging when they are against a wall and could not do so, enemies that are able to block all damage but you can barely do so. It's a mixed bag and the combat system needs a serious overall if it is to compete with the first game.
-Grappling hook: I was extremely disappointed upon receiving the grappling hook that did not live up to the first game. Unlike the first game, which allowed you to pull yourselves towards whatever you aimed at, this one is just used for swinging and maybe catching yourself from certain death. My hope is that they revamp it to make it similar to the first game, but that is highly unlikely.
-Parkour: I will hit the pros of parkour later, but parkour has many cons unfortunately. To start, good luck getting your character to listen to you; even when you are obviously attempting to do a certain move and your character decides to wall run instead and you fall to your death. Or monkey bars that sometimes just throw you off instead of letting you move forward (I’m looking at you Saint Joseph’s Relay Tower). Parkour makes you angry and wanting to quit 5 times out of 10. Maybe it’s because I’m on PC and using keyboard and mouse, but I’m certain it would be worse on a controller
-The Story: If you were looking for a great story like the first game, you are SOL; it is boring and has so much dialogue that you will definitely end up skipping most of it to just keep playing. The characters have little to no likability and you won’t really care to get to know them because you are skipping so much dialogue. This game offers subtle choices to drive the story how you would like, but in reality, you have barely any control over it in the long run (except for maybe the end with the bombs).
-The Final Boss Fight (and all Waltz fights in general): The final boss fight may be one of the worst boss fights I have ever encountered in my years of gaming. He has 3-4 total moves in which he spams to no end, and you have a 2-3 second window to attack him, otherwise you will die over and over. Upon almost killing him, you seize up like a volatile, and he resets to full for the next part (he resets 3 times… 3 TIMES). It is extremely annoying and repetitive and I didn’t even care to see if you killed him since I skipped the whole after cutscene.
-Mia Cutscenes: I get they are very very close, but I had no interest in watching these cutscenes and skipped right through.
-Attempting to sleep: Sometimes when approaching a bed and you wanted to sleep your character would seize up like a volatile for a few seconds before calming down and hitting the hay. I have no other way to describe this except as annoying. I don’t want to see this, just let me sleep so I can’t get to night or day and continue my adventures.

I think that’s enough cons so let’s move on to pros.

-Parkour: Sometimes the parkour can be enjoyable, such as music hyping you up as you move around obstacles as you climb higher.
-Easter Eggs: This game was filled with easter eggs by the developers to either give us a very useful item or make a reference to other games. To name a couple there is a charm in which you can apply to your weapon to repair it infinitely which is exceedingly good as you get better weapons in the later game. Another one is an item called “Cyber Hands 2177” which is a direct reference to the mantis blades from Cyberpunk 2077.
-Content: Although the main story is only around 30 hours long, the total content promises 500 hours before 100% completion, which is crazy in comparison to most games in the past. I do wish we had more of the main story, but I’m sure we will get good DLC content like The Following from the first game.

I wish I could add more pros, but I don’t have much in that regard, but that doesn’t mean the game is bad; let’s rate it:

Visuals: 8/10
Gameplay: 7/10
Combat: 5/10
Parkour/Adventuring: 6/10
Story: 6/10
Overall: 6.4/10

I don’t hate the game by any means, but it has many issues to fix before I could bump up that rating. Don’t let me discourage you from trying this game, it is tremendously fun at times and worth the playthrough.

Yes, it has some glitches here and there that are annoying or cause the story to stop, but it's a good game with a great story and characters!

I've played this game for almost 11 1/2 years, since 2009, and this game has made a positive impact on my life. My brother and I used to play on our home computer when our parents weren't home, and quickly unplug it when they got home. It was a fun time for the both of us. Here's hoping for another 11 years!

The story of this game is really interesting, especially to play in 2020 with everything going on (I'm looking at you CHAZ/CHOP or whatever stupid name it has now).
The characters are developed, and they did a good job explaining their backstory.
Final score: 8.5/10

This game has a lot of glitches, the gameplay is poorly made, and matchmaking is a hit or miss. I would give the game a 7/10

This game is... Amazing. The ability to choose your path is nothing new, but in this game, it's better then ever. Three main characters with many endings and possibilities that you can find. There is only a few games worthy of a 10/10, and this one is one!

Played it mainly on Xbox when it came out, now just playing it due to the Zombies.
The zombies was amazing and very enjoyable, especially reliving old maps. B04 was okay, just waiting for the possibility of TranZit in B05!
