this is a new and updated review, now that i've actually PLAYED the answer

for those who complained about P3R being super easy, this is for you
for those who were fine with the difficulty and still want a challenge, this is also for you
for those who were fine with the difficulty and hoped it would stay that way, LEAVE NOW unless you want to stick to peaceful mode

i'm of the third group above, i'm still new-ish to the SMT and Persona series and i'm not someone who goes out of their way to look for a challenge. this is NOT what i expected when it comes to difficulty!! it was really hard for me! and yeah, i know it's supposed to be, but it was really unexpected and i was unprepared

i only cared about the story for the most part, so in the end parts i switched to peaceful mode. sorry but super hard games aren't for me LMAO, you do you though. i will say that atlus did a good job in upping the difficulty for those who wanted something harder to play. but WOW i was not expecting it to be that difficult, even on normal

so in the end, i'm still unsure if i'd recommend this. if you're determined to see the story through to the end, then by all means. but just buy this on sale. if you're a softie like me that doesn't like the difficulty, um... i'm sorry ;w;

if you buy this, do your best, you'll be okay, and don't stay up til 7am trying to beat it like i did

this game found me on their doorstep, nursed me back to health, and raised me as one of their own. you know what they say about found family...
