If you've ever played the original Carnivores, this game is the most faithful remake/reboot you will ever see. Beautiful graphics, neat new features, but the core experience of the original games. For those who haven't played it, it is a hunting game where you are put on a large island (there are several islands in the game) and you must track down dinosaurs and kill them. Each dinosaur has their own weak points on their bodies, and some like the Ankylosaurus and Triceratops have armoured body parts that make it more difficult. Each dinosaur has a unique sense of sight, hearing, and smell, and different behaviour patterns. For instance, the Stegosaurus is docile and will only run away when it detects you. The Ceratosaurus is a carnivore and will try to eat you, but if you wound it badly, it will retreat. I haven't encountered the T-Rex yet in this new game, but they are probably going to be much more aggressive.

The only negative thing I can point out about the game is that it is missing Velociraptors. They were a very unique dinosaur in the old games and I would have loved to see them return in the new one, especially since they are such a popularly known dinosaur.

You don't need a review to tell you that the art style is amazing. The story is simple enough: kill the Olympian gods.

Pros:
- fun combat
- excellent level design
- diverse enemies and NPC cast
- minor RPG elements such as leveling up individual armour pieces, which all have cool unique appearances
- great diversity of weapon types that offer different gameplay styles, as well as some cool legendary weapons
- soothing and mood-fitting soundtrack
- great length/content (I've played for almost 4 hours and I've only killed one of the major Gods)
- a ton of Greek myth references, great for myth buffs and anyone who has an interest in learning

Cons:
- enemies in melee combat are difficult to hit when they are very close to the player
- not necessarily a bad thing, but some may find the lack of character development underwhelming
- boss battles don't seem very tough (granted I've only killed Apollo and some minor bosses such as the Chimera so far)

I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Greek myth, but it is enjoyable enough that I would recommend it if you know nothing of Greek myth.

It makes Rogue Warrior look like 2001: A Space Odyssey

I truly don't believe this game is as terrible as everyone says it is. However, it isn't a very good game either. If you are a fan of the old Rainbow Six games (anything before Lockdown), then you will find enjoyment for a maximum of a few hours. The game tries to be a successor to Rainbow Six, but there is no reason to buy this game over RS3 on Steam, besides slightly better visuals. I enjoyed playing each level online with a friend, but there is not as much replay value as Rainbow Six games. The AI is botchy and unintelligent, which is especially frustrating when you are trying to command a team. What I am basically getting at is that it is just a mediocre version of the Rainbow Six games that introduces nothing new (no story, no characters, no interesting objectives, etc.).
