Don't buy this game. Devs care more about making money than making their game better.

Most of these "Not Recommended" reviews are frankly ridiculous so I felt compelled to post my own.

This is a great tactical shooter. The people caling this a "cannon fodder simulator" are run-n-gun rambo CoD players who have come looking for casual shooter and have gone home crying to their mothers because they get killed too much.

Here's the deal guys: get good. It's a *tactical* shooter. You're supposed to be a smart infantryman and try *not* to get your head shot off. Yeah, sometimes war is bloody and the kills have to come from somewhere! Think of it this way: if your team is currently running into a meat-grinder that means the defenders are having a great time in a turkey shoot. The game will end. You'll get your chance. It also means your squad leaders are not using enough smoke!

New players, don't be turned off by these dumb-a$$ reviews hammering the game for missing certain casual features like a "matchmaking" (just use the server browser, I mean really? Is that really so hard?) or because "the veterans grab the good guns too quickly and I have to have to use a bolt-action oh the horror." News-flash: this is WWII and IRL *everyone* had bolt-actions. In-game, the majority of the enemy team is using bolt-action Kar98ks or Mosins. Get good. It's not hard to one-shot people if you get used to the game, just like any other game.

Also, the idiots hammering the game because "I can't find a populated server under 88 ping!" are stupid. You can easily play the game on servers with 200+ ping. Hit registration is client-side.

Anyway, great game if you want a psuedo-realistic tactical WWII shooter experience. Just keep your head down and check your corners! And don't run into the arty!

The spiritual successor to Sim City 4, Cities Skylines has it all and then some.

9.5/10

The only thing wrong with it is the simulation is a bit unsophisticated under the hood, if you look at it closely enough. Also,, it takes a beefy computer to create full map-size cities.

Still the best city sim on the market today, hands down.

This game is worth $20, let alone the $1.24 I actually paid.

Probably the definitive WWII RTS. It's hard, but it's oh so satisfying when your plans work out, (or you snatch victory from the jaws of defeat). It's not about brute force. Well, it kinda is. Schwerpunkt. You concentrate forces on a narrow point in the line to achieve breakthrough. Stack armor columns in waves and maintain critical pressure on the main point of attack to achieve advantage by disrupting the enemy's rear. As Guderian said "Klotzen, nicht kleckern!" ("Kick, don't spatter them!")

If this can't be done, pull a Rommel and flank their butts, hit 'em hard on the side where only a few AT will be facing you, or if you can force into their rear and catch their guns from behind...

Otherwise, you're gonna have a bad time. The Red Army/Wehrmacht is no play-thing (on normal) and they will wreck your glorious metal monsters if you give them the chance. Thousands will die on both sides before victory can be claimed. Do not rest, do not become complacent, commander. Your opponent will give no quarter. The Volga will run red with blood.

This is Stalingrad.

Early Access Review
Developers are incompetent fools who don't listen to their playerbase and screw an otherwise great game.
DO NOT BUY

This game makes me frustrated. I love the game, but absolutely abhor the DLC policy.

Stop Paradox.

now THIS is a grand strategy game.

5/5 stars. Wonderful economy, politics, and military simulator for the 19th century.
