A great game carried by it's excellent story and characters. Think of it like a more story driven Witcher with some jank around the edges. Don't let the backtracking and often tiresome rpg elements stop you from enjoying this one. Great pickup, especially on sale.

A solid little turn based tactics game with a decent story and strategy elements. Starts out a little slow but if you stick with it, the game steadily improves. Pick this up during a steam sale if you are looking for some XCOM style gameplay.

Vampyr is a solid rpg with 15-30 hours of gameplay depending on your completionist needs. During a sale of some type this is a great value proposition if you are looking for a vampire action RPG with a forgivable amount of jank.

It has pretty good gameplay with a passable combat system and a solid story to tell with a ton of well voiced dialogue. It does fall into video game bingo territory at times with some story beats that will roll your eyes into the very back of your head but it always recovers and delivers some memorable moments, especially towards the end. It even manages a satisfying conclusion to it's little story, wrapping up loose ends and character arcs. My biggest criticism of Vampyr is the disconnect between the decisions you make and the often plot/script driven consequences which follow that often feel at odds with many of the decisions you make along the way.

I can't really say this was a letdown considering how little I've enjoyed the recent entries in this series. That said, I was unable to finish the single player campaign due to a disc read error and find myself unable to care enough to reinstall the game. Prior to that, there is a D-Day mission that was poorly done, more of an action showpiece then anything else and a bunch of silly hero action cod levels with exploding trains and collapsing churches. There is also a small tank level that was so bad it hurt me physically to play through it. There is a cool level where you play as a member of the French Resistance that makes me wish that whole game was better but ends up being the only highlight in an otherwise forgettable single player experience.

I haven't played the multiplayer or zombies mode and probobly never will.

I do not recommend this game, especially for the single player, not even at half price. I also do not recommend you put this on your wishlist in the event your friend ends up getting you this game for christmas and watches you play it via streaming and realizes how bad it is. Not a good experience.

This is an excellent little game overall.

The gameplay consists of guided exploration on a small space station where you learn about the lives and plights of the crew stationed there. It's a short but enjoyable little trip and a great pickup during the plentiful sale opportunities for it on Steam.

A combination of a game and universe that make too much sense to actually happen. They work so well together and CA seems dedicated to creating a game that includes the entire Warhammer fantasy universe, eventually. Some may hate "DLC" but the way it's done here is completely fine. The entire warhammer world cannot be recreated in Total War for free and the starting game has more then enough content included in it to justify the price tag.

Hands down the best RPG I've ever played. A few crashes and bugs aside, I've never been so drawn into a game before. The scope of the game is just massive, the attention to detail and level of polish across the entire experience is just absurd. I hope every RPG fan has an opportunity to play this game, it's absolutely worth your time and money.

Early Access Review
One of my favorite games of 2015 along with Witcher 3 and Dying Light. The best Early Access game I've ever played, Darkest Dungeon is worth your money. I can't wait to see the game expanded with more content, the core formula Red Hook has created here is so good.

10/10.
