The game starts with quite a lot of good cutscenes.
You play as a ranger whose family got murdered by orcs.
The main objective is to have revenge on those responsible for their death.

The Combat System is quite fun. The game is really easy, you can easily fight of hordes of enemies using only left and rightclick, the amazing animations make it really fun though! You can also stealth-kill enemies, execute combo's and do lots of other stuff.
The controls are a little bit weird if you're used to Source-games.

The animations are really really good! Climbing, running, fighting, just everything looks really smooth, realistic and cool.
Also the level/mapdesign is good, the game has a dark atmosphere and feels real.
The open-world-world is split into different huge parts you can travel between using the map.

The sounds are truly amazing, the voice-acting is great! Also, the music was always fitting and making some situations really intense.

The gameplay can get quite repetitive over time though. In most combat-situations spamming buttons while doing some movement will do it.
Most quests are basically about killing orcs, sometimes in different way's like without triggering the alarm. The Story is quite okay. There is no real backstory in any of the characters except for Talion (the Ranger you're playing).
It took me about 20 hours to finish the game but there's lots of stuff to do afterwards.
Also, there are other gamemodes and a full sidestory which i did not play yet.

There are runes, abilities and attributes which can be used to make yourself even stronger. Sometimes switching runes for a specific mission can be extremely helpfull since all of the "boss"-enemies have different weaknesses which can be exploited.

The game runs perfectly on linux using an AMD Radeon HD7970 and xf86-video-amdgpu open-source drivers smooth and without any problems. The game warned me that my driver was not officially supported at the start of the game, yet it worked just great.
My System Specifications, in case anyone cares, can be found here[sys.nyoob.com]

All in all i think Shadow of Mordor is a fun and unique game. I first thought i would not be going to play this game for a long time, but it's really fun and i can't stop playing it.
To people who enjoy story-based singleplayer games this will surely be worth the price.
Even though i'm not one of those people, i still think it definetly is worth it.
