An incredible send-up to an incredible series.

Has the same incredible writing I came for. Has show-stopping pacing issues. I attempted to do *two* short sidequests alongside the main murder mystery, and that was enough of a timesink to immediately prevent me from completing the story. I understand that they want to encourage replayability, but this is deeply uncomfortable to playthrough--like a brutal roguelike without the fun combat.

These issues *can* be patched or reworked. I hope they are.

EDIT: Failbetter has shown they're working on it. I am flipping to positive for now, though I will constantly return to check on whether or not they're making meaningful progress.

EDIT 2: They fixed some of it. But not enough. There's still since major issues and they don't seem intent on fixing anything else. Unfortunate. I was excited for this game, y'know? Crushing to see them flop this bad.

An exceptional narrative and gameplay masterpiece. Has some rough edges, but goes on sale often and for very little. Extremely worth the time.
