I'm a PC player but I've always had an Xbox. I don't want to waste money buying a PS5 just to get 2-3 of their proprietary games but I borrowed a PS5 from a friend to play The Last of Us Part II and LOVED it. Then I watched the show and found out that Part I is coming to PC. I preordered it immediately. Before playing, I read the reviews since I had read before that the company they chose to port the game was notoriously bad or something like that. The reviews are overall not great. I don't really know what the issues are that everyone else apparently has, but the game runs great for me.

It's a beautiful game with a phenomenal story. I get about 70-100 FPS on ultra high settings (PC specs listed below) and no crashing, freezing, or any other sorts of bugs. I have the FPS and %Use for both CPU and GPU at the top of my screen. It does seem to rely on the CPU a lot more than I expected, but perhaps that's okay? I just thought that games with high graphics like this nowadays typically rely on GPU but I really have no idea what I'm talking about.

If you have a powerful PC, don't be dissuaded from purchasing this game. I'd imagine it should run just fine with components that were considered great or powerful even 5-6 years ago. If you have a powerful gaming rig and the game is still having issues, take a look at the comment from user LucentVI who had success making a few changes.

PC Specs (Nothing overclocked):

GPU: ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3080 White OC Edition 10GB GDDR6X
RAM: 32GB (8GB x 4) Corsair Vengeance DDR4
Storage: 2x2TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2

Best story-based game I've ever played.
