This game is a strict upgrade from FTK 1, improving the multiplayer experience immensely. It also tastefully adds new combat and non-combat mechanics to bring the world to life and make choices meaningful. The movement and combat board mechanic is expertly done; no notes.Character driven effects or statuses lasting more than one round is perfect and adds options for gameplay not previously available. Tanks felt locked into a single action every turn last game but now they can contribute in more ways than just getting the crap beat out of them.

Everyone knew this game would eventually require a PSN account from the moment after launch when you skipped that screen and thought you dodged a bullet. You all should stop whining and be happy Sony has given the studio so much latitude in how they handle PR and running their game. The requirement of another account was never hidden from you, and you have all enjoyed a great game which is unchanged by this update.

The most refined implementation of DnD in any videogame, polishing the great mechanics of DnD 5e with a coat of varnish made of excellent storytelling. Great alone, great to play along but separate, and great to play with friends creating the most evil timeline with all your failures.

Larian deserves all the money they get, and if they announce expansions I'm 99% sure I will buy them day one. Official mod support will be a great addition.

This game worked great on Linux out of the box, and the inclusion of Vulkan as a default render option was critical to that.

This game is entirely un-fun without friends. It is a complete grind without a premium account, the fact of which is shoved in your face at every turn.

Edit: This is a subscription game with free features. I have accepted that. I have not accepted that it will randomly crash my Vulkan driver, and the only forum posts I have found for this issue are marked as "closed" with no link to the actual solution. Please help.

The physics are pretty bad, sound design is bordering on insane, and the puzzles are mediocre. I did not finish the story, but it was relatively cliche from the get go.
The game was free on Humble and was described as a puzzle platformer similar in scope and complexity to the Portal games. While this is mostly true Magrunner falls short by trying to be more story driven while somehow being less polished than the older game. The cubes used in the puzzles are neither cute nor physically accurate. When dropped while running or falling the cube seems to reset it's physical state to start at rest and then realize gravity is a thing and start falling.
Sound design left me irritated more often than immersed, as many of the effects are short and repetitive, and the ambient sounds suffer the same. Background music, where present, clashed with the visual themes presented and did little to enhance the tone of the levels.
Puzzle complexity and size was all over the board and did not follow any progression or arc in the way Portal manages to do. I realize that is a very high bar, but visual cues indicating resources or objects were lacking in many of the later puzzles, and made many of them feel contrived and intentionally obtrusive.
The final straw which got the game uninstalled was the camera shake on the level "The Outsider"; while , forcibly at a distance, the camera is shaking in a pseudo-random but repeated pattern, compounding the audio annoyances.

Purchased this game on the basis that Linux support was native. For various "Technical Reasons" with giant air quotes, that support was removed. I imagine this is directly related to the purchase of Psyonix by Epic. This is really just a sign of things to come if Epic ever takes an interest in a game or franchise.

Do you like thinking in 4D? Do you like Retro-futurism based humor and technology? Did you like Portal 1? Do you enjoy not being able to change FOV? Then this game is for you! I'm not Cave Johnson, but if I were I'd love this game; not enough lemons to make lemonade OR burn down houses.

Sneaking up on and enemy position, tagged all enemies, decided on plan of attack; pigs decide they don't want me around, 3 attack, I die.

From the little I have gotten into the game I find it somewhat amusing. One pitfall is the very steep learning curve associated with the campaign, so sandbox is my starting recommendation.
