LOTF - The Good, The Bad and The Broken
+ Fun level design, enjoy the small puzzles and paths within levels, the plantable checkpoints and umbral adds nice suspense and rewards
+ Refreshing take on the spellcasting system, (now) good online systems, incredible covenants
+ Nice storytelling, your hand isn’t held but manages to be less cryptic thanks to the soulflay echoes
+ I fw the aesthetics, environments, armors, tincts, good sense of identity
+ While enemy variety is not high, they are mostly fun to fight
+ Pacing, you can’t storm into everything everywhere, you have to think (yes!)
+ Game runs very well for me on hardware that would be considered min reqs, a laptop at that.

Now for the bad, some name dropping incoming. Maybe more of a message for the dev since I've seen them around.
Lots of minibosses can be cheesed more than elite mobs, they can be stunlock launched with grand swords, namely Rapturous huntress Lirenne and Damarose. The Iron Wayfarer’s arena is extremely small and you can get completely stunlocked thanks to his aoes. Judge cleric 2nd phase is so aggressive in it’s moveset and amount of aoes that it’s straight up easier to tank with HA than to learn how to play.
Regen is utterly BROKEN, basically all the regen consumables should be reduced to max 3, maybe 5 uses per rest, heavenly vials should be 1 use per life and the rest going into the chest and replenishing upon sitting at a checkpoint. Ammunition pouches should receive a similar treatment. The spell invigorating aura should be especially looked at since both it’s regen speed and mana cost makes it so you can pretty much sustain it infinitely and never die, it needs a hard nerf or a time cap (like 30 seconds). I can’t stress how problematic this is since you have 3 types of mana regen consumables, 3 types of hp regen consumables, 2 rings, passive regen from runes and spells on top. It ruins any suspense PvE or PvP has with spell spam + almost infinite hp and I think it’s one of the reasons some people think this game is too easy.
Roll distance is crazy long, needs a solid nerf. I wouldn’t touch movesets too much since they visually already have a lot of forward momentum.
Crossbows still oneshot in pvp.

This might’ve sounded harsh but I did overall enjoy the game, I’m legitimately seeing a lot of cool and good ideas from Hexworks and I’m excited to see a dev that cares to fix things that are not working 👀. Wouldn't mind LOTF 2 with what they've built up in this one.
