Even with playing with a years' gap, the game felt full and fun.

The music that slowly hypes up along side the nights, well designed game mechanics, and illustrative pixel graphics; this game knows how to keep its core game play feeling new, immersive and fun with each new chapter to the story.

The base game alone is a finished product, and it doesn't at all need the extra DLC that are posted to have the full experience.
But after finishing the base game, you would best look into them, as it also left me feeling like playing more.

I won't spoil. not even a bit. So go get your Wonderful + Large Portion of Touhou Mystia's Izakaya.

unexpectedly a really good game!
was like Granny but with random map generation each time.
each of the rooms were well detailed and designed in their own right; and the sudden various dramatic entrances of the Yandere kept me on edge- not to mention some funny dialogue and traps too.
Game is somewhat fully voiced, which was a treat. even the characters with 2 lines and never to be seen again had voices.

the game was interesting enough for me to willingly find and experience all the endings, but I do recommend following a guide after the 3-4 obvious endings as i'm certain no one would find those.

a game like this isn't supposed to be long, so don't expect some VN duration.
I finished just above an hour on the first run, then around ~15min for an average run thereon.

this was the first "horror" game i finished, gotta be proud of something ig.
give it a try!

Forgot to write this review earlier somewhere in 2021, but i enjoyed this DLC more than the actual game itself.
It featured more personalised story and comedic value embedded into its lore.

If you were disappointed with the $60 purchase, this DLC would make up for it, i assure you.

However, none is worth at their baseline prices, wait for discounts.

without some sort of direct lore, the game play was quite intuitive. fighting bosses with different strategies required for each makes one look forward to the next; as such i couldn't leave until i beat titan souls. as per its price, waiting for half price or on the often off-chance of its 90% off sales would be advised to save a few bucks; as the game-play for me was 2 hours on first completion without prior knowledge of the games' mechanics.

i personally didn't get heated towards this game, as each boss and learning its attack patterns took all my preoccupation.
play time is short, so wouldn't drop a $20.

Fun, simple, short.

Fun to play with friends, a lot of communication is needed throughout; such as the overlapping of radio's and especially when the explorer doesn't know how to play chess. Additional entertaining factor is to watch a pair of friends stream their play-through together and begin yelling at the monitor.

For a full free visual novel, it certainly doesn't win any regards to art and UI; however the plot is mostly all that mattered. It had been mixed with humour and quality, enough to keep me reading. The stacking of plot twists one after another made this one unpredictable storyline right until the end!, along with the semi-cliche characters that did have their own spark playing hand in hand with the story's outcome.

Although this is a short read, reaching the 3 hour mark at minimum; it was a great way to spend my mornings by the window.
I'm no VN expert, but it takes less than that to realise this work. I hope you can feel the same!

This game alone is worth the price tag, if you can get it on sale even better. However the fun is within the DLC's, personally i enjoy the high seas mod as i feel it has more content to it and completely different mechanics such as the ocean.

Check it out!
