The first line of the song, "Chillin' with a hair tie," refers to Sartorius' perceived 'love interest'. One can take the hair tie to mean that she is strangling her own expression and emotions, with her hair representing expression and the tie representing a chokehold.
The next verse goes as follows, "But I think you need something to think of me / Something that will keep you warm / And show me that we can be more than just this / So baby, if you are not ready for my kiss."
"Then you can wear my sweatshirt And you can tell your friends We'll be together 'til the end Girl, you can wear my sweatshirt 'Cause you're the only one I hold And I don't want you to be cold So, baby, wear my..."
The second verse, shown above, is very similar to the last. Jacob's "Sweatshirt" is a sentimental item he gives to her to ensure she continues to believe she needs him. "Tell your friends we'll be together til the end" is yet another attempt to subtly reaffirm that this girl stays with him no matter what.
