I promise I'll be the best


Dat de wereld niet te voorspellen is; dat veranderingen altijd dichtbij zijn. Hoe kort ons leven eigenlijk is, en hoe weinig invloed wij hebben op de toekomst. Hoe we, in deze omstandigheden, ons het beste kunnen gedragen – of, hoe we in controle en vastberaden kunnen zijn. Maar wat bovenal naar voren komt, is dat onze ontevredenheid en ongelukkigheid veelal ontstaat omdat we ons op de verkeerde dingen richten. Dat wil zeggen, we richten ons voornamelijk op ‘externe zaken’ waar we geen invloed op hebben, en niet genoeg op onze ‘interne zaken’ waar we wel invloed op hebben.

bent on slaughter,

wherever darkness grows in a soul
greater darkness will inevitably be drawn
will it submit, or will it conquer, the soul which has begun to grow with darkness?
