Scam. Started out playable on Win 7, now is not anymore.

The game is a nice mix between Dragon Quest Monsters and Pokémon, as other reviewers have pointed out - taking elements from both games while (most of the time) avoiding being a blatant clone of either.
It's not short by any means, the grinding is not actually sapping the fun out of the game (so far), and you'll always have something new to explore or even go back to older areas, uncovering secrets or finding new creatures.

The controls as well as configuration options are fairly rough around the edges - it's quite possible your controller won't work well, but workarounds for that (as well as for the lack of window resizeability) exist.

It's a real little gem I am glad I stumbled upon.

Slay the Spire, but fun.

Epic Games Account required to play. Not recommended.

Extremely bad camerawork (on keyboard).
Clunky gameplay.

Very fun game - even if you aren't really into fishing or think you don't have the patience for fishing games, you should give this one a try. Getting bites isn't really hard early on and once you know what you're doing, it gets even easier.
Crisp interface and decent writing as well, well worth the time and money spent.

Only problem I see is long term enjoyment, as the "lategame" is a bit lacking in possibilities.
The game is currently being developed very actively to further improve it to remedy that, though, as well as adding more and more things, for example daily tournaments bringing a bit of multiplayer competitiveness into an otherwise purely single player game.

I'm glad I stumbled across this one, it's the most fun I had with a game in a while.

Pretty much a discount Super Meat Boy, worse in every way.
Less snappy controls, artificially increased difficulty by obscuring the player or parts of the level, strange game mechanic choices, that kind of thing.

Wouldn't recommend paying more than 5-10€ for it, it does have too many shortcomings for my taste. But it's still worth playing if you can look beyond those.

Currently a bugged mess. Avoid until fixes roll in, I suppose.
