Game looks amazing with that fancy light diffusion and stellar backgrounds, these superstructures and debrees floating around them. At first it even plays good, fun.
After a dozen of played games you begin to notice that something is missing here and there in battle mechanics. AI stupidity makes you wanna cry almost every battle on difficulty level 5-6. It is amazing to see how leveled-up for short distance and damage torpedo frigates do indeed keep short distance to a target, but _never_ fire at it. It is not less amazing how AI manages to not follow straight orders or how commands are not executed at all.
Have I mentioned pathfinding? Oh, it is extremely hard to navigate space because of megastructures getting in the way all the time. Pilots of my interceptor squadrons like to spend some time parked at those in the middle of battle. Space
unions, etc. Meditation time for all.
And entire 6 maps to play.
Come on. Have you tried to level up to max level playing on 6 maps? How many games until you sick of this? Your main focus in each and every of them is superstructure, was it that hard to generate 6 more?
I've supported the team, pre-ordered Collector's edition, enjoyed the figure later. But. Game is obviously not finished. It feels how there must have been ideas to implement, mechancis here and there. But many of them were gone in favor of ...? Was it worth firing so many devs, if they had made the game, but haven't had time to finish it?

If you want to experience the coolest Homeworld in big space then buy Remastered Collection, turn on Complex EVO mod and enjoy HM1RM. Graphics is great there too and, especially after playing HM3 first, you will be blown to the Moon by richness of tactical possibilties and variety of ships with working AI.
