Cleste is a wonderfully responsive and fluid platformer. The level designers really milked every bit of creativity and challenge from the game's handful of mechanics. The story is unexpectedly high quality given how much gameplay there is in this game. The only notch worth mentioning are the exit points could be a bit cleaner. Leaving in the middle of a chapter doesn't feel good and each chapter is very long. Celeste is still a must pick up for any lover of 2D platformers (especially difficult ones).

Bleed 2 emphasizes and improves everything I enjoyed about the first game. With the addition of a parry mechanic the gameplay reaches a higher level of intensity and creativity without feeling unfair. The OST is so good that I'm confused why it isn't being sold directly through steam. Bleed's bubbly tone is well preserved in this sequel which helps it stand out in the bullet hell genre.

Furi feels like an over the top anime action sequence come to life. The controls are easy to pick up but leave a lot of room for mastery. It's also easier than it look with generous parry timing and abundent healing/lives. When you fight through the hail of bullets and are victorious it gives an amazing adrenaline rush. Then you solomnly walk away to the next amazing and unique boss fight.

All gamers have that one title they hold above all others. Like a Mario, a Half-Life, or a Dark Souls. Undertale is that game for me so know I'm completely biased. There is an astounding amount depth in the story and behind the mechanics that I cannot spoil. Besides this game is more impactful the less you know about it. I admit that the humor isn't for everyone and the combat can sometimes be tedious but it has free demo so you can test if it's compatiable with you. So I beg you to give Undertale a chance. I promise there is a heart and soul to this game that is both exceptional and pure.
