Numbers go up good.

This game had a lot of repetitive moments (gathering orbs, farming food items to cook/make meals, fighting rounds of villainous enemies). Despite this, I fully acknowledge being a fan of Dragonball Z. This covers the whole storyline from Raditz all the way to Dragonball Super content with the DLC. The combat was really never very hard, I generally had enough healing items or was overleveled to the bosses. The game runs well, looks beautiful the moves and the animation feel good. I very much enjoy being able to control transformations (you can still do Kaioken late Dragonball Z), there's a lot of systems at play to interact with and a ton of side stories and optional content.

If you want a fun Dragonball Z game, this is it. If you want a good action RPG, you are going to find it lacking the depth of other games.

Controller commands for joining games was weird. Too easy to accidentally back out too far and have to reaccept all over again. I used a controller and would have appreciated a controller map at some point to muddle through the controls. Maybe a couple of graphics about how to throw someone over an obstacle.

I feel like if you were already a pro at this game and knew some of the controller and move nuances, you'd be fine, but for someone jumping in on this cold, the mechanics are difficult.

I also feel like overtime shouldn't be a thing. The play area should be shaken so rapidly apart that you're essentially flown into the horizon and someone who grasps the right things is deemed winner.

But, Rick and Morty costumes are rad. Wubba lubba dub dub! Graasssssssssssssssss is bad.

The most innovative shooter I've played in years.
