Incredible beat 'em up, specially if you enjoy movies like John Wick or The Raid.
The combat is somewhat simple, but thanks to this performing attacks and fighting multiple enemies at once is really satisfying. The mocap animations, the sheer diversity of them plus the ease to perform all of them in combat certainly makes the combat feel complex and rewarding.
The game's story is rather shallow and doesn't take itself too seriously, but it doesn't really matter as the story is more of a justification to have the main character fight through a diverse array of levels and enemies.
A lot of older reviews claim that the game is really unforgiving at times and very reliant on the rolling mechanic, but this has been fixed trough patches that overall have made the game a better experience. One of the biggest QoL fixes was making the hardest difficulty only unlockable after beating the game once, lol.
