TL/DR: I feel it is a great survival game and recommend it to anyone that isn't afraid to death of spiders or other bugs. (But they do have an arachnophobia setting!)

I first read about this game in Game Informer a long while back. As an 80's kid and having watched "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" my interest was piqued. This game hits a lot of chords with me: Survival, RPG elements, Base Building, an actual story. But the biggest would be trying to stay alive in a forest of grass, bugs and hazards. Being thrown into a different world set with numerous familiar things but from the perspective of an insect.

I played the game a little in early access and a heck of a lot more now since full release and I am super happy with what the devs have done. I play single player and I am just in love with the game at this point in my play time.

There are some bugs:
-Arrows/thrown items rolling into terrain objects, thus making them irretrievable. Thankfully with frequent auto saves I haven't lost any upgraded tools, just a little time.
-Ants spawning/appearing in my structure or built objects
-Spiders/Mosquitos having some very special glitchy moments in terrain (Sometimes to my advantage, usually not)
-Probably more as I haven't explored everywhere yet and only know single player.

A fun MMO that has a different playstyle than any other MMOs I have played. Turn based, although it is quite grindy. Crafting is useful though be prepared to also grind for materials, and have professions require mats from different professions. There is government and PvP for those that like that.

Interesting storyline and there are quests to be had. I've played since its beta and it has come a long way, mostly for the better I feel. Cash shop has mostly cosmetic purchases, and while free to play there are benefits for being a subscriber/premium member.

A nice time sink for those MMO fans out there that want a different feel to the usual.

So far during this early access, I have greatly enjoyed my play time. However I must note that I do not play PvP, and run with friends on a small PvE server.

I love all the different dinos and the fact that there are even more yet to come, the modding community is putting out some really fun and neat stuff. PvE would be too easy without one of the overhauls my friends and I use.

If you like survival gaming, base building, amassing a dino army for your very own Jurassic Park. Or running around shanking each other with spears till someone runs into the water to die to a school of Megapirhana. Then this game is quite worth it.

Update, some time later: Now that the game has been out in the main stream for quite a while I have to say I love the new maps and the continually growing dinosaur list. Of course there are some negative things, such as no actual NPCs (which I would love to see as I prefer PvE) and restrictions for certain creatures to certain maps. That said the modding community has just about everything you could want to change things up if that is your cup of tea. Still a game I enjoy despite not having played much recently.

So far my experience with this game has been great. It has that Fallout 1 & 2 feel but with a nice shiny coat of graphics. I am enjoying the storyline and how things have been playing out so far, it certainly feels like a nitty gritty wasteland! Definitely worth playing if you like games of this genre. I love some of the descriptions for items and terrain features, those really draw me into the setting even more.

Note: I went into the game expecting more of a fallout 2 feel, and while it does have that experience there are a few things lacking (that or I haven't discovered how to do it yet). Stealing and sneaking, not game breakers by any means but something I was hoping to see being as I have a blade wielding character and I quite enjoy getting the drop on something, or relieving some guards of their precious healing items.
