This game is pretty unique and also a little bit weird. At first I thought it seemed really unfinished and was disappointed but this is part of the plot device. It's all very meta.

Even though I'm sure by now almost anybody who's heard of Lucas Pope and likes his games has already played "Return of the Obra Dinn" I really want to express my sincere awe at Pope's creativity and skill to create a game that is challenging in an entirely unusual fashion.
I've finished the game in one go which it took me all day but boy was it worth it! I want to stress that even though some scenes in the game surprise the player by presenting something completely unexpected, there are no elements designed to be scary (no jump scares and such) even though the atmosphere is a bit daunting throughout the whole game. That is only natural, considering the somewhat macabre principal game mechanic: Exploring visions of people's moment of death, trying to identify them and figuring out how exactly their life came to an end.
All in all "Return of the Obra Dinn" is a very intriguing and even enjoyable puzzle / mistery game and I am pleased to recommend it to everybody who is into this sort of thing.

I simply love this game. Sure it isn't perfect but the modability is really great so many shortcomings can be solved by modding. The only thing I miss is a planning mode where you can lay "ghost rails" and drag the planned line to optimize speed and cost

Is actually a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port of the mobile game. I expected a remake of the first racing game I used to play when I was little and was really disappointed. Don't make the same mistake.
