Forgetting someone is on the wing fixing the engine when you perform a barrel roll simulator.

A REALLY fun game, but the community can be insanely toxic.

You can jail someone, and they can refuse to show their notes, so when you execute them and they turn out to be town, it's your fault. So of course town can't see that, so they think you are just bad and flip out the rest of the game. Even if they hang 3 townies in a row, its still your fault and you get reported for gamethrowing.

Even actually just playing the game, people are constantly reporting people for gamethrowing when all they did was vote innocent or guilty.

Not everyone is awful, some are really nice, but this game is all about mob mentality so its easy to tip to negative.

Some people also just take the game a little too seriously sometimes and just SCREAAAAAM the whole game about how "this is ranked" so no one is allowed to mess up.

You should give the game a chance and if you can, try and remind people everyone is here to have fun.

Great game but desperately needs to be optimized.

If you keep getting flashed from the loading to the main menu, odds are you haven't downloaded the map through steam even though the mods auto download in game. Hope that helps.

Everything I hoped for and more. Feels like someone smashed mechwarrior with baldurs gate, xcom, and faster than light.

The beginning is a little rough, the real tutorial takes about two minutes but after that it restricts you and still kind of feels like a tutorial until you can get a new ship. After that your biggest concern will be paying the bills, it always is a concern from the start but its easy to spend too much money and realize you cant make your payment before the end of the month because you just haaaad to buy that ppc.

The game is extremely indepth, has a wonderfully drawn story, and full customization of mechs. I would have paid 60 bucks for this game easily.

Running with an Oculus Rift on a Geforce GTX 1050 Ti.

Total pain in the ass to setup, they also say it won't work with a Rift or my card, but it in fact does.
Despite all of the pain and anguish this game has caused, the amount of joy I have received out it far exceeds everything else.

Ruin your life and get this game for vr, you will get pissed off and happy.

UPDATE:
I have yet to see what the oculus update provided, I'm actually concerned the several other bugs and graphical errors will still be there.

One gigantic gripe I have with this, is we should have the original game built in to this, sometimes I don't want VR in my game, so I should be able to play it regular like every other game that allowed VR after release.

The first several hours are drink tainted water, poop your pants.

(Sorry Kojima, I really wanted to hate this game, I just couldn't.)

Spending more time with the game has completely modified my review, although I will still recommend it, several things must be known.

People keep saying the community is great, NO its really NOT. You will get screeeeeeaaamed at by 35 year old retired vets reliving their glory days on the battlefield just for trying to stay with your squad and not straight up abandoning them to go "rally at the rendezvous".

You are a slightly faster assault mech deployed with the heavies? you better get your sweet buns where commander try hard is and leave your most important mechs behind to get ripped to pieces by the lights, or you're just a bad player. The community is seriously toxic and you are lucky to find anyone with any decency worth playing with.

Like updates with new content? This game is often updated! Isn't that great? It would be, but about every other month they screw something up and require a hotfix because of SEVERE frame drops. You will literally be at 1 fps the entire round making it completely unplayable. Don't worry though! You can now put angel wings on your mechs, so everything is fine.

Concerned you will miss out on your premium time being wasted with these faulty updates? Don't worry! It's super easy to contact support! They won't answer ANY questions, but you can still ask, so that's somethin champ.

Now you may be wondering, for a recommendation, you've said a good amount of really bad things about this game, well this game is just a better version of all of the old mechwarriors you grew up with. It takes a long time to master, and even longer to be disciplined at. When the game is actually running properly and you aren't being bombarded with advertisements for new mechs, its actually really fun. Everyone who says its hard to remember the controls, its not, you just need to treat it like driving a tank in first person while manning the turret. You can fully customize your mechs and test out your combos which can prove to be very satisfying. I won't give up on this game, I may not ever spend any more money on it, but I still like it and think you should give it a chance, its free and not spending money on it doesn't limit your capabilities.

Four hours in on my first time playing, freaking love this game, getting a VR set just for it. The people on it are all great, because people won't play with you if you're a ♥♥♥♥. Every role is fun to play, and when you get out of a huge fight or just barely escape undetected, it's pure excitement. Even if it's not on sale, buy this game, so much potential on top of what it already delivers.

Reminds me of a few older rpgs I've played in the past. Normally I'd give these a good chance, but when you add multiplayer capability and want to charge people for it as a DLC, no thanks. Good luck with your cash grab guys.
