fun game, but it turns out the assets were not paid for, so I am morally against it

this is a short and cute little game where you solve 20 small mazes. it has a lot of unique and creative ideas, so give it a shot! no reason not to, it's literally free

Absolutely incredible game, stellar ideas, but also absolutely incredible is the sheer lack of engine functionality on Linux and Steam Deck. Fights are timing based, which is cool, except for the fact that the game has horrendous framerate issues during combat and during combat only. This is fixed by playing the game in true windowed mode (likely not a solution for deck users, due to the nature of a tiny screen made smaller), but beware! the game will CRASH on LAUNCH if you accidentally leave it in windowed mode when you close it, rendering it PERMANENTLY UNPLAYABLE.

I want, so so badly, to be able to enjoy this game... but the game engine said no, not today, not ever. It would be so, so easy for the devs to have made a linux version of the game; unity has easy, accessible build methods for all platforms... but they just chose not to.

EDIT: Three months later (or perhaps less recently idk for sure) THEY FIXED THE CRASH on launch in windowed mode. Hooray? It still has all the other issues I've mentioned, and as I've been replaying the game I'm realizing even with a better framerate it's still really hard to tell exactly when I'm supposed to time most attacks. Not pressing buttons as much sometimes means I just don't attack, and unfortunately I also haven't memorized exactly what links to other moves cleanly and what forces me to wait for a second before I can do it... so I just mash anyways, even though the express purpose of this combat system is to discourage mashing. Deeefinitely needed more time in the oven.

After many patches, and some time for Proton to catch up, the game is finally reliably playable on Linux; and what performance, may I add! The game itself, while nothing super special on its own, is pretty much what we've all been asking for this whole time; a sequel to Sonic Mania, with wholly original levels. And while it may not always deliver the same quality of design, it's all built on a rock solid base that should hopefully stand the test of time. Learn your lessons, SEGA; make good games, make them right, make them accessible and DRM-free *from the outset.*

Ant War: Domination is an incremental game from before people knew how to make incremental games fun. It's a nostalgic game for me; I played and beat it when I was a very small child. I was able to at the ripe young age of 5 due to this game's sheer simplicity. It doesn't take very much time to find out the optimal combination, and once you do it's just a matter of idly getting to level 35, moving to the beach, and idling the rest of the game. Having an autoclicker genuinely removes 99% of the "gameplay" and speeds it up dramatically, despite not even being a clicker game. There are better ways to spend less than five dollars on this platform, go find those instead.

Delightful from start to finish~! The presentation is top notch, and the characters have never felt more deep and alive in the entire series! Every moment of gameplay was a blast, both the detective work and the minigames between. I will however note that said minigames could perhaps be a little too difficult for someone not already used to the traditional Sonic gameplay loop by the end of the game, and the transition from windowboxed to fullscreen in the hardest levels certainly doesn't do it any favours. All in all, a game clearly full of passion and love to spice up this year's April Fools, and continuing the year of the hedgehog into what could become the era of hedgehog!

In hindsight this feels like a scam, as most microtransactions do. "Give us money so you can play the game less!" I strongly regret this purchase as it recoloured the game from just a quaint little leaf thing into this horrible disaster of a game, attempting to suck the life out of me.
I say this feels like a scam, not because I didn't get the advertised rewards, but rather because I was misled into believing said rewards would be of any use. Regardless. Note how this product is not eligible for refund. Don't waste money.

Fun little game that plays a little like Getting Over It, but not as much as you think. Your first run will undoubtedly be "slow," but the game is so short you can get through many runs in a single sitting and feel yourself getting better at it. Ended up getting my PB down to just 4:17.646, with some room to improve.

It's a game of stumbling into fights you can't win, doing what feels like the same exact thing repeatedly until it just suddenly works. Quite figuratively the definition of insanity. Not to mention for those who don't have controllers (like me) you're forced to use the damn arrow keys and X + C. Yeah, that's right, NO REBINDING. Unforgivable. The only thing I can really appreciate about this experience after the fact is that at least I didn't pay actual money for hand cramps.

The puzzle difficulty is all over the place, and while it is interesting at first, it goes on for quite a bit too long with not a whole lot of change, whether that be new mechanics or putting old ones together. Also, the loose story has no explanation and makes little to no sense whatsoever. For the price it's not terrible, especially if on sale, but you get nearly the entire experience just by playing the demo on Armour Games or some similar site.
