The game itself is absolutely fantastic. There are people involved of course which means it is testing, but that is like anything else in life, especially involving people. Thankfully, Valve has been very transparent and providing regular updates on improving the game as the weeks go by. Cannot recommend a game more than Dota to anyone that has not experienced it!
