It's my first time playing a game from the devs Cloak and Dagger Games, but I've had good hopes since I noticed the game was being published by Wadjet Eye, who had published Technobabylon - one of my all-time favorites - some time ago.
My suspicion was correct.

Without spoiling anything, as going in blind is REALLY the best way to go about it - The Excavation of Hob's Barrow is an excellent title that reinvigorates not only the adventure game genre, but the horror genre as well.
I was hooked in from the start and just kept going.

If you're not experienced with adventure games you might get stuck in a couple of spots wondering what you're supposed to be doing. My best hint for you is: If you can't do it politely, consider breaking the rules instead.

Well worth the price. I hope Cloak and Dagger will make more games like this.

The game appears to be abandoned - no word from the developers for what feels like an eternity since the last update. I don't think the game is in a good enough state to be left like this.

The game is great, not particularly original but it's still great! Unfortunately, people are feverishly hating on everything that moves because Denuvo is present in the game. I don't see why because my research fails to find anything substantial that proves that Denuvo is a bad DRM besides some very minor ideas, which also don't have any sources or evidence.
Give it a shot!

If this was made as a standalone and had nothing to do with the Gothic series, it would've been JUST FINE.

A great game, especially for those who like ♥♥♥♥ talking on voice chat.

If you played Titan Quest before and liked it, then you'll find yourself right at home with this one.

This isn't bad, but you shouldn't buy it at full price.
