Celeste was awesome. Became probably my favorite raw platformer game overall. I kept finding myself impressed with a clever, small change, that adds a whole new challenge to what seems like such a limited set of abilities (jump + dash). It was really fun the whole way through.

The graphics were great and the story was fun. I didn’t really play it for the story, but it’s nice that it had some story vs just a mindless platformer.

I played it with my 9 year old, swapping who was in control every couple rooms. It was a blast. He got stuck in some spots but wasn’t out of it forever, he could do the next couple rooms after that. All the way until the end, he was able to still do many challenging rooms, and I jumped in on a few really tough ones. It took us about 10hrs to beat the main game together.

I highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys platformers.

My son and I just beat Broforce, an action packed side scrolling, run + gun game where the fun is the 10s of silly characters and everything is always exploding. This was something we picked up on a whim and it was super fun. It’s both not easy but also not overly punishing. We died a lot. But there’s checkpoints, and you learn the tricks, and it’s just a ton of fun. Everything explodes. You will die in a hundred different ways. You spawn as new characters with different weapons, so every restart, every play is pretty different. It’s purposefully over the top and the characters are based on old movie characters with adapted names, like Indiana Brones, Brobocop, Mr. Anderbro, Brominator and tens more. It was such a blast. Strong recommend, adults and or kids (if you’re okay with shooting violence). It’s good stuff.

Great action roguelike. It has some pretty unique mechanics, jumping mechanics, the boss multi layer health bars as they travel between rooms, then normal mechanics of fun synergies and lots of random items. I really really enjoyed this game.

What a phenomenal game. After playing DS 3 and Elden Ring, I wasn't looking forward to more open world ER with the DLC, it just felt like a waste of my time, I like the traditional DS level designs. I had never looked into Sekiro before, but thought I'd look at other From Software games.
This is everything I wanted.

- Simplified RPG elements where the upgrades are fun and usable, not just ignorable because they "don't fit my build."
- Not a ton of useless weapons and uninspiring weapon upgrades.
- Exciting upgrades around movements, parry movements, learning new interactive movements that make each fight a puzzle of skill and logic.
- I love the focus on parring to defeat enough deathblows instead of just hurt HP, though you can chip away at vitality if you are struggling with the primary approach.
- Very difficult as it should be.
- AMAZING level design. The level design in these games are beautiful and amazingly well done, the feeling of the massive world, of being lost, then connecting the dots of the map over time. Reusing parts of the map is fun.
- The grappling hook and mobility is so much more fun. First From Software game that felt fluid, as opposed to really awkward jumps and movements.

Loved this game.

Super fun co-op roguelikes. Not many co-op roguelikes.
This is a clever game, moving your cannons mechanic, paddling off bad guys around the ship, the map traversal, all just slightly different mechanics, similar to roguelikes, but not copies re-mixed. Super great game.

Easily one of my favorite games ever.

Mixture of characters
Responsive controls
Difficult boss battles
Rewarding traversing the levels
Leveling up over time is fun (not always a fan of rogue-lite's but this crushes it)

I love this game!

Hunt the Night was much better than I expected.

Great mini souls like game. I felt the bosses were challenging enough to be fun but not unforgiving to be annoyed. I lost to most a few times, a couple maybe once, and a few like 10 times. Near end boss ***her really was tricky, I appreciated the clever dodging required.

It felt like the game was never too punishing, it balanced the save points and difficulty pretty well.

I didn't find the gun mechanic problematic. It is different, standing still, but honestly, it's part of the game, the trade off of shooting vs not. I enjoyed the forced nature of having to melee to get ammo back, made for a good mix.

Overall I really enjoyed it, well worth it.

The only real CON was: I did get confused on where to go, especially in the 2nd and 3rd zone. I don't know that a map is what I needed, like others have requested. Once I figured it out, I realized the hints that I overlooked. I think maybe early bolding some keywords might have had me realize those were really important words and not just lore. I think it was well balanced where I had to be aware of the lore to solve some puzzles but not feel obligated to read everything and comprehend all it's detail. But the first couple zones I didn't realize that and got a little stuck.

The fighting mechanics are clever and unique. The characters are fun, with different ways of playing, not just different stats. Really enjoying this!
