Is this game Skyrim? Valheim? Nope... somewhere in between. Enjoying the world, crafting and the shroud adds an element of dread and scary.

Been playing arcade/pc/console games since the 1970's. This is one of my all-time favorites. Look at my playtime, over 1,000 hours.
Risk of Rain 2 hits many things I like right on the head. It's an action roguelike, but is non-action player friendly. Control is easy to learn, tight and lag free on modest PC's. Once you become familiar with the zones, the game becomes challenging since you are trying to get randomly placed powerups in the most time efficient way while the mobs are getting more powerful. Selecting those powerups to figure out the most powerful combination for the current playthrough is a blast. Graphics and music fit the dark sf mood perfectly. The story is vague in a fun way. I enjoy reading the descriptions of the zones and items.

My thanks to the Devs for the many hours of fun I have had playing this game. Can't recommend highly enough.
