After playing 688i Hunter/Killer, I was looking forward to the sequel.

To summarize:
The good:
1) More features than 688i.
2) More controlable subs (Seawolf, 688i, and Akula).
3) Each sub has it's own campaign line that shares the events of the other 2 campaigns.
4) Much better tutorial, though I still don't get the manual TMA system with the dots and the ruler.
5) The Navigation Screen (Map Screen) is much better, as I can classify each target.
6) Classifying a target with sonar is much easier as well, now having a filter.

Most annoying glitches:
1) Lets start with the big one, this didn't want to run on windows7. Minimizing it basically crashed it, most of the time it wouldn't start. I ended up having to run it in windowed mode via -windowed steam parameter and set my screen resolution to 1280x720 16bit 60hz to even view it halfway decently.
2) Frequently hit the bottom when trying to "Hug the Bottom". I had to turn auto sonar off as it would constantly change the bearing point that I was trying to classify to other bearing points as it "automatically searched".

The Bugs:
1) Campaign is almost unplayable from bugs.
In campaign mode, I find I have to do the missions 2-3 times each before it properly checks things off. For example mission 1 for russia, I launch the seal team within 2 miles of checkpoint, didn't register. The third time I tried it, while sitting on top of the checkpoint, it worked. The next couple missions same thing, very frustrating.
2) The new 3d overlay is visually nice but when I click on one it blasts the noise the ship would make, way too loud, and I can't control it specifically. I ended up turning that feature off because of this.

Overall:
I would say overall this is an "ok" sub game with more features than 688i, but it fails hard due to bugs as many games did back in the 90's. I would much recommend 688i over this one if you've never played either, but it's hard to go back without the new features of this one.

This is a funny RPG style game. It's compared often to Fable because you can choose to be good or evil, however I believe the game is designed to be evil specifically. I found the game to be challenging and entertaining, played it all the way through at least once. It is linear so replayability suffers, but it was still a fun game.

The controls are fairly easy to use, though sometimes it can be a little frustrating if they don't move exactly right. There's no micromanaging required, the minions pick up things by themselves and show it off as they run around. Graphics are good, sound is good. Tons of sarcasm in this game, which I especially like.

Really boring. There is no reason for the plot other than revenge for shooting the player in the head in the intro. That's it. There's no reason to venture into the desert since there's very little out there. No reason to craft things since you get way more than is needed by killing raiders. Combat is not as common as I would have liked it to be. Usually fighting consists of 2-3 bandits/raiders every 5-10 minutes of walking. So if you like walking around a yellow desert this is the game for you.

As for the graphics, nothing special. Same old Fallout3 graphics. The AI is horribly stupid, you'll see characters and monsters getting stuck quite frequently. Voice acting is alright, I had no complaints anyway. The companions/followers are allegedly in the game but I didn't find any, I also didn't read a guide to find out where they are though, supposedly there are 8 of them. I figured if the AI on them was as bad as the rest of it they'd probably just get in my way more often that not.

The sound is pretty annoying, it's like there's always noise and exactly just that: noise. Random bits of static, mumbling, etc. all the time. I'm not saying I want silence but I don't need 5 noises constantly seperate from the music playing.

I thought it had potential with all the skill choices, but half of them seem to be pointless or irrelevant.

Worst game of the series. Voice acting is horrible, storyline is dull. Major lack of fighting, and even though they got rid of the one-click constant kill massacre the combat is still far too easy. The missions are very linear and the main character doesn't really "stay in character" very often. The stealth system is pretty lame and unnecessary, however you -must- use it during some missions or you'll fail. The cut-scenes are buggy, so much that halfway through I actually quit watching them intentionally, which made the game more tolerable if not for all the poor voice acting mensioned above.

The sound does not mesh well with dolby 7.1 at all - at times people in scenes would seemingly quit talking, after turning off surround sound it fixed the problem. As for a Native American theme, which I was looking forward to, epic fail. Nothing Connor does has anything to do with Native traditions, just his own gain.

The ship combat is fun though, also completely unrealistic to have a barely floating frigate with no upgrades destroy entire fleets of pirates and frigates. On par with the series though, overly simple.

This is a peaceful, relaxing game. No combat, no soldiers, no defenses, no conquering what-so-ever. The game primarily focuses on resource management, especially food management. You grow your city at your own pace, fast or slow, doesn't matter. The traders come very rarely at first which is a bit of a milestone. From them you can purchase seeds, livestock, food, etc. in exchange for your own goods. Not all traders have the same thing. One might have peach seeds while the next 5 might have coats and leather. I've played games that take years before I get livestock.

The visuals, ambient music and sound effects, are all pretty good.

This isn't the old Tomb Raider that was filled with puzzles and adventure. It has some of that, but nothing like the anniversary edition.

This is the prequel of Tomb Raider. It is VERY linear with mostly first-person-shooter gameplay. You won't get lost in this game easily, since there is constant check-points and beacons. The graphics are excellent. For what the game is, without comparison to anniversary, it's quite fun. You play Lora before she became tough. You get to watch her go from a fragile and scared girl to a warrior.

The combat controls work rather well, I had no trouble with fighting once I got the hang of it. And there's tons of fighting. Everything was fairly easy to kill, I think, but not as simple as some games. I think the stealth system might have wanted some more work, but overall the game seemed rather polished. Though, I would love to see a tomb raider that didn't have any combat, just rock climbing and puzzles/traps.

65 Hours into it and I still don't really know what I'm doing. I've read wikia pages and the 15 scene tutorial. I understand the concept but that's about it. Took me probably 30 hours to figure out how the combat system works, very detailed but without an easy to use interface or even a help file that explains the differences in rows and support %'s there's no way to know what's going on. Only reason I understand it is that wikia cleared it up. Great concept of a game, I think the game mechanics are probably great if I could ever figure them out. If this had a better interface or someway to explain things, I'd recommend it and possibly even give it a high score. Since it doesn't, it's worthless to me. 2/10 for potential. Better luck with victoria 3.

Overall: 3/10 - Not what I was hoping for.

Problems: Lack of economy, tons of micromanaging, not very realistic.

I love sim games, this one is far from one. It has a very noticeable lack of economy compared to other business sims. This leaves it with only so much depth. The realism of crop growth is also non-existant. Maize/Corn for example does not grow well in America. But what the game lacks in realism and depth, it makes up for in micromanaging! For crops, you buy/rent a plot of land, plough, plant, choose to pesticide or not (not sure the point of pesticiding in this game), and wait several minutes on full speed for the game to go through a couple months until you can tell it to harvest the crop. Then you can goto the market and sell it for a seemingly rock bottom price or hire the salesman to sell it for a slightly higher price, but then it might not sell, or take over a year perhaps. Then you do the same to the next field and so on, don't forget to plough and order seeds again after harvesting, nothing is done for you.

I think the animals are bugged, at least I hope it's a bug and not part of the design. You have to 'raise' them from infants to adults, and then butcher them or just out-right sell them. They seem to continually grow, or rather keep their numbers up even during the butchering, but if they get too old you're stuck with them for a few years without anyway to sell them short of demolishing the entire building, which is certainly an option. I'm not really sure the point of the animals in this game but they sure do bring in money.

It's hard to say if this is a finished game, hopefully they're still working on it since it feels more like a pre-release alpha game in development. I was hoping this would be a remake of an old classic, but sadly it isn't even close because of the lack of complexity. It's more like a game you would expect to see online but with a total lack of quality graphics.

I haven't been a fan of the X Series due to the never-ending bugs. I bought this game knowing it will likely be as buggy as X2 was, and am happily surprised. It's not what I expected, by any means.

Firstly, the bugs I've noticed so far are minor, not game-ending. The game is also incredibly deep. It has two main roles that you can go with, combat and trade. There's plenty of pirates who take specific targets, and Xenon who just kill anything they find. It's not over-whelming though if you go with trade, it gives it a fun, easy challenge. As for combat, wow, just wow. There are all sorts of ships, from mobile mining bases that you can setup smaller ships to gather astroid stuff, large freighters, fully automated sector/universe trade ships, corvettes that will blow away smaller fighter ships like they're nothing, and even larger frigates that I haven't had the chance to play yet. The larger ships, called capital ships, can even be boarded and taken over by marines. It's pretty deep.

The voice acting is weak, the story-line is pretty bad as well. The best I can tell the voice actors used for the plot do not speak english fluently, the conversation seems awkward to say the least. The main plot of the game is quite optional, so if you prefer, you can skip it. I think it's best to skip it until you know how to fight, trade, have a couple ships with trade software 3, and maybe have built a mine or two for extra income. Save often, you'll be very frustrated when a scout mission turns into a combat situation as you arrive 30 minutes into the mission. There's also missions you can take from other ships and stations, they pay very well and some are rather easy.

Overall, to get into this game you'll need patience. I think the graphics are about average, nothing very special but not pixelated either. The flow of the game is rather good, always something seeming to change subtly behind the scenes. The sound track is pretty bad as far as the music. Honestly I don't know about the firing sounds and such, I tend to make my own beeping noises and pshwpshw sounds and I blow things up. Usually by the time I hit my finale of noises I get to hear the screams of a boron pilot in the background. Again my only real complaint is the optional story-line.

Overall Rating: 7/10.

The controls aren't very good. I feel like every mission I had to watch it on youtube first because it doesn't really make sense. A good example of the challenge would be cutting the intestine out, you have to look hard for the lines to cut... not exactly dotted lines, just darker, it's like a puzzle more or less. For a puzzle this might be a bit fun if not extremely annoying.
