Game starts then crashes. Wont run.

A great platformer that has a surprisingly well written story. The pixel art is excellent too, especially in the cutscenes. This game actually looks and plays like a retro game on an NES.

It even has slowdown I didn't like the slowdown during the gameplay at first, but it reminded me of how NES games would have that same slowdown when there were too many enemies on the screen. It actually added to the overall gameplay experience. Made it feel like an old game. Loved the gameplay, top notch.

The music is great, but a little repetitive. If you get stuck on a level, prepare to hear the same track over and over again. Maybe put your own music on when you play.

One of my favs - good stuff.

A really fun fighting game - similar to MVC but has it's own feel.

If you're looking to easily play with your friends online, don't buy this. Buy the newer worms games like WMD.

Probably one of the greatest games ever made.

Revised review:

The FPS is pretty good now. Now I can't blame my FPS when I die.
Server performance has improved, I expect it to get better as time goes by.
New map is great.
UI has improved.
Thumbs up 100% now, the devs are actually making very good progress.

Cons:
Cheaters are ruining the game
Lag / Poor server performance: 17 tick rate means you get killed around corners often
Sub par optimization (bad frame rates for excellent setups)
No region locked servers
Muddy graphics / colors = hard to spot people, even on a huge monitor
Limited character customization
Sound design could use some work, but it's okay.
Horrible UI


Pros:

I don't care about new content, just optimize the game and get rid of cheaters.

The aiming / gunplay is pretty bad. Movement feels stiff.

Got the game for $7.49 on the autumn sale, and it was worth every penny.

I grew up with these games as a kid, and the games still hold up to this day. These games are great for nostolgia, but if you've never played them before, you'll still enjoy them to the fullest extent.

I would encourage newcomers to start out with Megaman 2, as that game is a little easier than the others. BUT most people consider that game their favorite.

My favorite is Megaman 3. It's the longest one in the series, and it's the one that is filled with the most surprises. The bosses and music in MM3 are also my favorite.

An added bonus are the "challenges" that they've added to the game. I haven't tried them yet, but I see that there are about 50 new challenges.

Can't go wrong with this purchase.

Update Aug 14th 2019: Game runs great now. Well worth 30 bucks on sale.

My general feeling about the game:

One of the best things about this game is that it does not hold your hand whatsoever. Which really is a breath of fresh air. There have been many times where I said to myself: "What do I do next?" or "How do I progress" - and then eventually find out the solution on my own. It sort of takes you back to the NES or SNES days whenever games didn't tell you what to do, they expected you to figure it out.

Another thing is the "Wow factor" of the game. There have been multiple times where I warp to a new system and just sit there and say "Wow". The lighting, colors, planets, galaxies, and freedom of No Man Sky's space is all really well done. In short, the art direction of the game is great, and flying controls in space feels good (with a controller). Watching youtube videos & streams do not do this game justice. You have to play it and expirience it for yourself. Above all this is an expirience and it really feels like you create those expiriences yourself. If you have an imagination and can appreciate the atmosphere of a video game, you'll probably like this game.

The atmosphere and freedom of this game is what really sells it in my opinion.

That's not to say that it doesn't have it's moments of action, specifically dogfights. I've died 3 times so far in dogfights and each time I felt like it was my fault. One time I had 10 different ships shooting at me after I tried to jump in a battle.,. bad choice.

Don't go into this game thinking it's the only game that you need in your steam library. Go into it expecting to play for 2 to 3 hour sessions. Put your headphones on, turn them up. Play this alone in the dark. Chill out, and enjoy. The devs are obviously going to keep updating this game, so it can only get better from here.

Of course, there are some negative aspects of this game, but since there are so many negative reviews on steam right now, I'll leave those out.

Great for competitive players and casual players. It's just fun.

If you like trash talking, you'll like this game as well.
