If you asked me what my favourite game series is, I would answer Fallout. So far I have not tried Fallout 4 yet, have to say I love Fallout 3 as well as Fallout: New Vegas.

The most impressive thing is that Fallout 3 is a continuation of life: you can easily spend a half of a day by organising your inventory, speaking with strangers and making your relationships. Being very realistic, you can do whatever you want and cannot allow yourself in real life on the other hand. I also like to walk everywhere without completing any tasks, just for my pleasure, collecting the dresses, hats, guns and unique items.

Listing pros may take forever. The only contra is that the game needs a huge amount of free time.
