A cozy game about a painter moving to Montreal and getting inspired by the city to eventually make a name for themselves. Painting the environment to both discover the surprisingly large world of the game both fun and makes everything revealed a surprise. Not only that, but fully painting something adds it to the list of objects you're able to put on to canvas, which I think is a really creative way to encourage running around the city to discover new bits and bobs to add to your paintings and a thematic puzzle piece slam dunk.

I did run in to a few issues: there's one spot on the map where you get teleported back to your spawn location and you have to move carefully around the geo to access a section of the Alley this is where you have to duck under a fence and see a dog on the other side. If you can't get under, try sticking to the left side of the fence and you can jiggle under; I'm the game things you've somehow gotten crushed for going under this specific fence and teleports you. I managed to get stuck in park by trapping myself in one of the monkey bars (oops haha). And there are plenty of spots across the city where there are seemingly extra paint orbs I can't collect.

The real victory of Ete in my mind, is that while I was trying to position elements to make one of the paintings for a quest, I really thought to myself "wow I really wish I could just draw on the canvas" and as someone that doesn't draw in their free time I see that as a huge: exploring the city and trying to craft what I find in to the picture I have in my head is relaxing and fun at the same time. If this interests you at all definitely pick up, or if you just want something cozy to try and be creative with also a recommend.

Server issues are fixed, but I'm leaving this a "not recommended"
As the game is right now Payday 3 isn't fun. I'll wait a year or so before coming back, but for now if I feel like heisting I'll just play Payday 2.

---
I am unable to play the online most of the time. Either I get a matchmaking error, or I join a lobby rarely getting a full one (twice total).

It's a shame, the game was fun when I could play consistently during the pre-release. I do wish there was a server/lobby browser to be able to see what people are actually playing. The playerbase currently is split between 8 heists on 4 difficulties; Payday 2 had this problem solved by presenting the open lobbies "a la carte" and then letting you filter based on what you were looking for. Great for times when you want to play but aren't sure what, and great for when you want to find a specific heist.

The gunplay, leveling, new skill system, gun customization, and changes to stealth mechanics are all great and when I'm able to play consistently are a ton of fun. But it's completely let down by not being able to play and most of my time is spent in queue.

Hopefully they can fix matchmaking, and if they do this turns into a recommendation. Until then, probably best to stick to Payday 2 or try out Deep Rock Galactic.

If you enjoy crying yes I highly recommend this game (I also highly recommend having played at least Finding Paradise, but To the Moon is also fantastic. The other game sin the series add context, but Imposter Factor stands well enough on its own. But seriously you should also play those games).

Cute birbs sk8 well r8 8/8

No but really it's a fun time with charming writing. It controls a lot looser than THPS but it's combo system plays really well into to that and definitely sets itself apart as it's own thing which is awesome! Finding all of the unlockables will keep you busy, you can spend a ton of time customizing your birb, and the soundtrack is spot on.

Beautiful.

Must play for anyone looking for video game story telling at its finest with on the beat humor sprinkled in.

A visual feast with a narrative told purely through animation with a great soundtrack. Seriously the shader work in this game is great evoking a similar look to Into the Spiderverse. The gameplay is standard runner fair, but allowing players to sprint at any time gives players familiar with say the Bit Trip Runner series the ability to control when we want things to get more punishing (you can also just select Insane difficulty right away like I did).

I appreciated the variety in the obstacles you encounter but ultimately how you deal with them never really changes. I'm disappointed that for the most part the game remained a side scroller throughout. The parts where the camera shifts to an alternative angle was done well enough that it wasn't disorienting (and in the ending in particular was integrated very well into the narrative).

The last bits are mostly nitpicks. It was an odd choice to me that the music in the pre level cutscenes didn't smoothly transition into the level music. And when using a controller I can't navigate the wardrobe selection.

Other than that, I don't really have anything negative to say about the game. It can be completed it around 2 hours which for some people might be a turn off. But for me, the gameplay was fun, the soundtrack is a bop, and it was a stylized graphics feast throughout.

Edit: Nevermind about the controller not working in the wardrobe, the controller cursor starts on the back button lol

A unique blending of first person shooter and platformer style level mechanics. Each stage in the game is only a few seconds (at most half a minute) but each one demands your attention for that ENTIRE time.

Don't be fooled by the length of the levels; once you get past the beginner world each stage is going to take an incredible amount of time just to learn and master. Think you've got a pretty high score in Aim Labs? Lovely Planet will make you doubt you're event half decent at nailing your flick shots.

This game is not for the easily frustrated, but if you're up for the challenge I think you'll thoroughly enjoy the fiendish but well crafted levels and some of the interesting twists that Lovely Planets throws at you.
