Oyun tarihsel devam etmiyor, multiplayer senkronizasyonu çok kötü ve sürekli hata veriyor. Muharebe ve kuşatma mekanikleri tamamen şansa bağlı, dlc satın almadan bir çok devleti oynamak zevksiz. Ayrıca oyun tamamen oyuncuya karşı kurulu, koalisyon sistemi tamamen saçma olması dışında genişlemeniz age of absolutism e kadar çok kısıtlı ki 200 yıl beklemekten hevesiniz tamamen kaçabiliyor. Vasal mekanikleri ve oyunun AI si çok kötü. Dlc almadan oyunda özellik kalmıyor. Sayılabilicek çok fazla kötü özelliği var, kısaca paranıza değmez.
