Amazing detail, great for all age groups.

The game is a few years old now I'm writing this review, however it aged very well and is fun to play on many levels.

PURE LEGEND

Defo great value, hard to learn, easy to master. Plenty of replay value with unlockable special modes and different starting teams.

So far enjoyable - perhaps it has not lived up to my expectations and certainly not to the initial hype, nevertheless it is a solid and enjoyable game. I started playing once v1.5 was already out so I can't relate to some of bad experiences that other players brought up. It is one of a kind game with unique vibe and it seems the dev team is still working towards improving the gameplay. For this reason I can only give it a positive review and hope the care this game receives continues.

PROS:
- big, open world with plenty of character customization options
- good story telling with a cast of memorable characters
- beautiful and detailed visuals
- good implementation of sneaking and "parkour style" running around the city

CONS:
- choices made during dialogue rarely influence the story
- unrealistic physics and occasional visual and technical glitches (not game-breaking so far)
- allocation of attribute points is irreversible that with current level cap can ruin your character after tens of hours of gameplay

What appeared to be a fun Battlefield-like experience very quickly grows into frustration. Even before the game launches properly you get prompts to close it as the process just freezes without any loading bar present. Furthermore, loading times are absolutely atrocious. Tutorial suggests that only last battle needs to be won so its more of a betting game. Say bet 6k and you may get 10k, maybe, who knows. Yes, You can have "frontline experience" but it seems to have little to no influence on the battlefield. Aiming? Hard to grasp to say the least. Tanks somersaulting into houses are quite fun to watch though. E+.

Great visual and sound remaster. Souls of Rebirth content could have been left as it adds slightly to the story, then again apparently it's not canon so meh. With the tedious and meaningless Arcane Labyrinth removed the game makes actually more sense and adds towards immersion. One thing that I noticed is that the same spell SFX were used for both FF 1 & 2, which are beautiful but seems to be a lazy move from SE. Yet to find out about FF3. Finally, QOL improvements such as occasional stat bonuses cut down the mindless grinding - goodbye pummeling own characters for HP growth. Definitely worth the money, especially that it is closest to the NES version which never reached the western shores.

This game never gets old. Great classic!

Absolutely amazing, one of the best beat-em-ups in the entire gaming history. Check out other reviews as the words of wisdom were already spoken by the masses.

Undeniable classic. Always great to come back to, one of few games I know by heart.
