Veteran hunter with 1300+ hours on Worlds plus a thousand more on the older titles. I've been playing Monster Hunter for years, and this is by far, unfortunately, the franchise's fall from grace. Just ultimately proves the fact that just because a game's got better graphics than its previous titles, doesn't make it a better overall game. This is a far cry from what Monster Hunter was known for. The game's got everything, yet has absolutely nothing. This isn't Monster Hunter. This is just something Konami and the devs tried to to push so hard to "get with the times". Pretty sad to watch a franchise you've been so loyal to all these years go out like this. Hopefully the devs get their sh*t together and make it better. Otherwise, this will go down in history as the franchise's ultimate downfall....

Funny how the game's whole premise keeps pushing for democracy, and yet here we are having to deal with some form of modern day communism being pushed by the company backing up said game. Pretty sure everyone that bought the game got it for the purpose of being able to play and have fun with friends and not have to deal with whatever agenda this company's been trying to push. Great job SONY. Way to ruin a perfectly great game.

The game is pretty OKAY. But the matchmaking is just bad. The way the mechanics work, matching up new players with higher level players that have already unlocked most if not all the resources and gear is basically like giving a baby a gun to fight with seasoned veterans. To top it off, in order for you to actually unlock those gears and resources, you'll have to actually WIN a match. I can't recommend playing it at its current state. Optimization is just horrendous.
Playing it on a Ryzen 5 2600 @3.9Ghz with an RTX 2070 and 32gb RAM @3000Mhz. Game's installed on an ADATA XPG SX6000 Pro M.2 drive. The amount of times the game crashed on me mid match due to an "Out of Memory" error popping up is just frustrating. The game also stutters quite a lot especially during the beginning of matches. Hopefully the devs would consider doing something about the matchmaking, otherwise this game's already dead before it even gets any traction. I'll probably come back when they've ironed things out, and probably reconsider my review. Overall a 4/10.

I think I'm going to lose my job after literally spending three whole workdays playing this game instead of doing actual work....

Medieval Minecraft what more can you ask for?

Played for the first time(solo Sloop). Meets a few randos in the outpost after a long treasure hunt expecting them to be friendly. Gets rekt by said randos and gets loot stolen. Offers soul to ferryman. Get rekt by the same randos with their brig. Respawns in Mermaid's Hideaway. Goes back to outpost where ship was sunk. Randos still have their ship docked. Bombards ship with everything that's left. Actually sinks brig and barely escapes with only a banana left.

ALAS MY CHILDREN! THIS IS THE DAY YOU SHALL ALWAYS REMEMBER AS THE DAY THAT YOU ALMOST......
