Don't buy this game. The game does some basic explanation of the mechanics, but everything is left up for you to figure out on your own. After over 25 hours, I still have no idea how to revive characters who have died because it is never explained. Those sample videos? You're never going to get to that stage without at least investing (by my estimates), at least 50+ hours. The current positive reviews for the game on Steam are likely because of the system that requires you to leave a positive review before getting a password to unlock a chest in the early stages of the game. Look at the hours played - that should give you an idea.

There are multiple systems such as the day/night system and the hunger/thirst system that serve no real purpose other than to make your gameplay experience a living hell, as well as forcing you to do stupid things, such as traveling to and from locations to make time pass, while checking back on multiple areas repeatedly to check if any new NPCs or quests pop-up - because again, no explanations.

The one person dev says that they are doing this as an homage to old school games, but requires you to either be constantly connected, or write positive reviews on Steam (or hell, pay if you're in China) in order to unlock additional features like increased experience or better equipment. This game was release in 2021 but it still feels unpolished and unoptimised with multiple bugs.

Am a big fan of the genre in general but man, this is super disappointing and a waste of the time I spent trying my best to give it a shot and figure things out. There are much better titles, even at this price point, that won't make you leave you wildly trying to figure out how long it will take to walk from one location to another, and whether the NPC will disappear before I arrive. Truly one of the worst I've experienced.

It's good, but also feels like it could have been so much more. Finished the game after about 62 hours, and the ending was unfortunately lackluster. Currently, there's no reason for me to invest time into replaying this or trying other ways of playing, because the pay-off would essentially be the same.

Overall, still recommend. But like I said, could have been so much more.
