It's just so monotonous, there's no reason to carry on playing. That thing you were doing in the first 2hrs, running around for resources, building that new machine you unlocked? You're still doing that at 5hrs. You're doing it at 10hrs.

Everything you have to terraform works on the same principle of making a machine, getting a new machine, replacing the old machine. Making a few more machines. Do this for every objective and you're on your way to terraforming the whole planet. I didn't know what to expect but this is all the game has to offer

Your reward for grinding is the chance to grind some more. There's no cool equipment (the jetpack is just a horizontal movement speed increase but you can fly inside rocks, awesome), there aren't vehicles or any sort of automation that doesn't require you manually doing everything. You can't break rocks or shape terrain. Even when you can mine resources automatically, you have to empty the machines tiny inventory into slightly bigger inventories.

The base building is some of the worst I've seen as well, I was hoping I could waste some time waiting for my next shiny machine by making a cool base but everything is so square and ugly, and the way you build with foundations is unintuitive.

Maybe it'll get better later in development but right now it's just a poor version of cookie clicker, except it's 3D, wow!
