Ukrainian ball in search of gas (UBISOG) has it all - a compelling, beautifully written story line, stunning realistic graphics that could be mistaken for real life. The controls are simple and responsive, and the gameplay itself has endless replayability.

Storyline

The storyline in UBISOG is incrediby gripping and each twist in the plot will have you gripped to your controller, eager to uncover the next chapter. I don't want to give out too many spoilers so I won't detail the plot here, but I promise you it is worth every single penny you paid. Make sure to really pay attention to every subtle detail the developer gives throughout the game, as each detail is vital in uncovering the hidden philosophical meaning behind UBISOG.
Rating out of 10: 10/10 - I can't even find a hint of lazy writing or cliche when it comes to UBISOG's story - in my opinion it is truly perfect.

Graphics

I must say, when I saw that the game was run on the Unreal Engine I wondered whether the graphics would be up to par with some of the more modern games, but when I launched for the first time I had to take a minute just to appreciate the beauty of UBISOG's graphics. At first I wasn't sure whether I was looking at a photograph of a remote forest in the real world, but I soon realised that these were all computer generated graphics. I was shocked by how close they were to the real thing. The trees waved in the wind, the background looked like incredibly life-like, even though it was just a 2D texture.
Then I layed my eyes on our main character - Ukrainian ball. The detail that the graphic designers put into our protagonist was truly breathtaking - it must have taken countless hours of hard work to make the ball look so realistic.
Rating out of 10: 10/10 - I haven't seen graphics better in any triple A game over the past few years - no game comes close to UBISOG and I'm sure game developers will be studying this for years to come in pursuit of improving their own graphics. UBISOG really is revolutionary when it comes to graphics.

Gameplay

We'll start with the controls. Some reviewers may say that there aren't enough controls, but personally, I love the simplicity. You see too many games these days with hundreds of different combinations of button presses for varying moves, but UBISOG takes it back to the basics, with basic controls that are just right in my opinion. In-game, they are incredibly responsive and I didn't have any issues with them in my 8 hours of playtime.
The gameplay itself is another fantastic feature of UBISOG - many story based games these days have great stories, but lack in having interesting gameplay. This is another thing that UBISOG absolutely nails - the gameplay is engaging and doesn't lose its novelty after a few hours, unlike lots of other titles that have recently released. I could definitely see myself sitting and playing UBISOG for hours on end without tiring. In terms of difficulty, while UBISOG isn't something a 3 year old could beat in seconds, it isn't stupidly hard, unlike some titles. I think, with enough time, a gamer of any age could beat UBISOG, making it the perfect game for practically anyone.

Rating out of 10: 10/10 - Once again, I can't find a flaw with the gameplay in UBISOG.

Final thoughts: UBISOG is a staple of modern game design, and anyone who doubts the genius of the developers is simply a fool. It is a revolutionary title that I'm sure will be studied in great detail by game developers in the future.
