With recent updates and bug fixes, game has drastically improved. Especially after buying the base game and seafarers expansion (which is a few dollars), game has been flawless, with no issues. I enjoy playing single player, but have played with my own friends, as well as random games with others. Have not had any issues lately and finding a game is quick. Some aspects of the game, such as the characters, is a little funny/goofy looking, but the actual game of Catan is very similar to board game version. You just need to learn the buttons, and after a game or two, you forget about some of the cheesy graphics and somewhat complicated menus (and things like scrolls). For Catan lovers, I would definitely pick this up especially after all he updates and fixes. If you plan on playing more than a couple times, it's probably easier to just buy for a few bucks than deal with scrolls!
