If you liked the original, you'll feel right at home. Even if you're worried about the 3D aspect, I assure you that after a few heists, it will feel completely natural, and you'll start seeing how the verticality fuels your creativity. The character designs in this game are much deeper, just waiting for you to exploit them in unexpected ways. And the demo only scratches the surface.

If you've never played the original or didn't like it, I still wholeheartedly recommend that you try Monaco 2. It offers a unique, chaotic heisting experience that can be enjoyed in many different ways. Play it solo, or even better, with a party. Whether you choose to be slow and stealthy, go fast, collect everything, or simply focus on the objective, if a heist game scratches your itch, there's probably something in this game you'll enjoy.

Is it fun? Yes, and probably the best and most polished VR shooter out there currently. The devs clearly understand a thing or two about VR.

Is it competitive though (they want it to be after all)? No, or at least not with the current netcode. There is just too much dying behind cover, shots not registering and trading with your opponent.

I still recommend the game though. It is very enjoyable but the devs have a long way to go to make this actually competitive.

This is a fighting game where you can start having fun immediately. Controls are basically 3 buttons, combos are short and very easy to execute and character archetypes are familiar from other fighting games. The game is still quite deep but the depth mostly comes from fighting game fundamentals and strategy - not from execution.

Fantasy Strike is most likely the best game to get your feet wet in the fighting game genre. The game has some very cool quality of life features such as visualized frame data during matches which are amazing for beginners. I don't think many people will enjoy it as their main game for too long but as a secondary/learning game it works very well.

Oh, and you cannot rate this game without mentioning online play. I think this game has done online in a way that many bigger titles will look up to for years to come. Fantasy Strike uses a very good implementation of rollback netcode. You can have between continent matches and have a feeling that you are sitting in a same room as your opponent. Yes, it is that good. Playerbase is ok - at least during EU prime time you can find matches with ease. Steam numbers do not tell the full story since the game has crossplay between PC, PS4 and Switch.

It is probably not fair to label ABZU as a game. It is more like a movie - an audiovisual experience.

So sit down, take a (good) pair of headphones and play through this in one sitting. You won't regret it.

It is hard not to recommend Hue. It is a charming, inventive little puzzle platformer and you surely have not played anything like this before. However, don't go in expecting the best puzzle game experience you have ever gotten - the game has its down moments.

Hue revolves around a clever color changing mechanic where you can control the background color of the stage. However, in my opnion the game falls short on discovering this mechanic to its fullest potential. The game tries to add more complexity by adding more colors to your wheel but ends up using only about 5 of the colors in the later levels. When most of the wheel colors have been opened, I had to turn on the colorblind mode to make things clearer.

Most of the game is moderately easy - you can proceed with flying colors. During the last hour of the game the difficulty ramps up. Some of the puzzles near the end are great, some just make you frustrated for other reasons than not figuring out the solution.

All in all, the game sort of fails to surprise player with its puzzle design. Nothing that Hue 2 cannot fix. Still a unique experience that is worth having.

Like all Behemoth's games, Pit People is very polished and it brings something interesting (and funny) to the table. If you have played Castle Crashers or BattleBlock Theater, there are a lot of familiar things you will encounter - art style, humor and the narrator to mention a few.

Pit People does not necessarily innovate something new. Rather, it combines mechanics from many popular games and ends up creating quite an interesting result. You will feel the presence of XCOM, Fire Emblem, Skulls of the Shogun or damn, even Pokemon. Most of the time games mixing that many ideas would end up being bad. This is not the case with Pit People - it feels truly original.

The combat is plain simple but vast collection of different unit types and items make this game quite strategical. There are endless amount of combos to test and new interesting characters to find.

Lastly, I wouldn't be too worried about the Early Access tag on this game. Sure, most of the main story is missing (you can only complete about 5% of it) but there is still a lot to do in this version. There are multiple plot driven side quests to do, units to catch and other players to crush (in online mode).

Highly recommend.

The Witness respects you as a smart individual, it counts on you to be able to solve problems by yourself. If you don't like thinking (outside the box), this is not a game for you. But if you do, The Witness is a remarkable puzzle game which keeps rewarding you for being smart. Or at least it makes you feel smart.

Masterpiece.

Amazingly fun game when playing locally with friends. This game was originally designed to be played in an arcade, so it's really easy to pick up but hard to master. They added some weird stuff compared to the original version (ie. divekicks) but fortunately they can be turned off if wanted. Online multiplayer is quite bad, don't buy this if you don't have anyone to play with locally. All in all amazing game for game nights.

Must have for a board gamer. It solves the never-ending problem of board games - I want to play, but I there is no game nights nor I have time to arrange one. With Steam workshop integration this game allows you to play nearly any game that exists which is great for trying new games before buying the physical copies. Game's features also make many board games really easy to play: set up with one button press, form and shuffle decks automatically, deal cards automatically etc. Even if someone makes a mistake, no worries, just press the undo button to get back to the last move.

If you love board games, you get this.

You don't buy this for the actual game. You buy this for DayZ mod.

Update on summer 2014: And if you somehow got fed up with the orginal DayZ mod, now you have DayZ Overpoch which is the best edition of DayZ by a mile. It brings Epoch's modular base building and Overwatch's hundreds of weapons and vehicles together and makes something which standalone is not going to achieve at least for a year.
