You permanently lose the pieces enemies shoot off. This isn't conveyed in the game so you will end up with half a boat and propulsion so you have to restart and lose all your progress.

The HD graphics are exactly how the old graphics looked in my head when i was a kid.

This is a fun, charming and good game but the last level is so terrible that I can not recommend anyone playing this game. Watch a lets play instead and get the good without the awful cancerous bubonic plague that is the experience of playing the final level of the game.

Ni No Kuni 2 is a good game. Is it better then the first? Both yes and no. It has better and more fun gameplay but on almost all the other points the first one is superior.

The first one has a way better story, soundtrack and better characters. It is also much more sweet and fable-like. The first also has better options for your party (like specific tactics which this one does not have).

I would still very much recommend this game because it is good, fun and sweet in a way that makes it feel like it is a fable for children by children.

This game could be good in a couple of patches. But as it is? Not really. It's horribly optimized. FPS drops to a crawl for no apparent reason, pop in textures, random crashes and lots of other things haunts this game.
