A good survivors-like game with nice graphics, fun weapons, and the different map biomes are a nice touch. It's a solid start for early access. I hope they add a bit more diversity to the upgrades you choose in a run since right now it's mostly just boosting damage/reload/fire-rate. I feel like I've gotten my money's worth so far, looking forward to more classes and weapons in the future.

(edit: Nov 11 2024 - Do not buy this game, it's honestly a scam that somehow it is still for sale on steam for $50, not even sure how that works. It's abandoned. Mod KSP1 instead.)

(edit: May 3, 2024, - after the recent layoffs of 70 people working at Take 2 Seattle, which is Private Division, I definitely can't recommend buying this game. As much as I love the original KSP, and the science update for KSP2 gave me hope, I've lost faith that they'll ever live up to what they originally promised for the game. I hope to be proven wrong but I just don't see it happening. It's a shame.)

I can't in good conscience recommend this game yet, especially for the price. KSP1 is probably my favorite game of all time, I played it through early access as well. I understand this is early access, KSP2 was not ready for early access. Maneuver nodes are completely undependable. The UI glitches out beyond belief and spams you with huge yellow error messages down the middle of your screen that don't go away. Your orbital track completely disappears sometimes making it impossible to plot maneuvers and continue your mission... the list goes on. Performance is bad but I expected that, although I had hoped for a little more on a 3060.

There are definitely a few nice things going for KSP2, the updated overall UI is pretty nice and the new tutorial videos/scenarios are charming and very well done, they should really help out newcomers to KSP. The new VAB is nice once you get used to what's going on.

I look forward to updating my review to a positive one in time, but right now there's just no way I can recommend it for what you're getting for $50.

Best $3 I spent all year. I honestly hope the dev does some sort of "supporter pack" even if it's only another couple of bucks and gives nothing, I'm in. It's fun.
