I cannot in good faith recommend this game in its current state. All S2 had to be was a few new moves to spice it up, some needed light buffs/nerfs, and a new character.

We got probably the worst patch that's been put into a modern fighting game.
The balancing of 2, maybe 3 characters was what you'd expect. Everyone else got all of their weaknesses patched out and some of the most vile ♥♥♥♥ in heat possible.

I only fully realized the issues of this game at the end of S1 with me getting TGS, and hoping they'd also know what had to be done. This game was genuinely a half patch away from being amazing.

Now we get to wait for them to either ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the entire game or triple down on this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

For those wondering, yes this is NOT included in the season pass.
And aside from music (songs are included with the purchase, you don't have them otherwise) it's the same dimensions as arena, the difference being that this has longer sides the players are on axis with.
I believe that it was said that you cannot play on this stage if only one party owns it, will edit this when servers come online with an actual answer. (EDIT: In player lobbies, only the one picking the stage needs to own it. So that's good at least.)
So for now, if you match anyone on this stage know you're both dumbasses that paid 5$ for a slightly different (and much prettier) version of arena.

Gonna 100% this game, but in the meantime I'll give my two cents.
These devs make great games that are worthy of your money, but are a little pricy for the amount of time you spend playing. That being said, if it's on sale literally at all there's no reason to not buy it. It's fantastic, and the demo is the exact same thing with a smaller scale, and you are rewarded in the main game for using the knowledge of collectables from the demo. Fantastic time with friends too, and a great game to just ♥♥♥♥ around in.

Edit: Just 100% the game, hoping the content updates are just as great as severed steel. Roguelite mode was incredible.

They somehow tied physics to fps retroactively, and the qol update broke the game. The DLC itself is fairly unpolished and has persistent audio bugs and a lot of missing animations. And if that isn't enough, they made the modding architecture entirely unusable. You have to downpatch in order to use mods again.

Needs to go back in the oven with a few playtesters this time.

You were good son, real good. Maybe even the best.

Simply the best game I've ever played. The ending left me speechless. I cannot express in words how much I would reccomend this game. Play it. Your exuses are invalid, Play it.

Pros: Really fun with friends, building is great, and everything flows Relatively smooth.

Cons: I can't even play the game anymore. It either crashes at launch or freezes my entire computer forcing a restart. I've tried everything in the book to get it working but it just doesn't work. Instead it has a 1/10000000 chance of working. Trying to get this game to work is like playing roulette with my sanity.

Conclusion: This game is really fun, when it works. Nelson, fix this please. Otherwise this game is dead to me.

Very fun, fresh, the music is great and its very fun to unlock all the upgrades and weapons. The game quickly becomes bland once you have everything but the replayability is amazing. Might be a little short. but is so worth the $5. Do not regret buying.
