55 hours in, level 38 and I'm still not bored.

This game is what Cities Skylines is to Sim City. Great genres that were dominated by one game (see: Roller Coaster Tycoon) and have no passed on the reigns. It's not perfect but with Steam Workshop and many DLC that will soon come, this is going to be a classic.

7/25/18 UPDATE: After coming back to play since the game first came out, and with the release of NEXT, loads of content and changes makes it feel like a different game. A good one at that.

Game is not what was promised afterall. I cannot recommend this game.

The hype is real.

Loved the idea and loved the actual game even more. Not your typical RPG. It contains a choice making rich story driven concept, awesome art that pays really close attention to detail, and great gameplay overall. Haven't noticed too many bugs either, which is rare for these kinds of games, definitely nothing game breaking. Even though there isn't really any combat, it's still fun. Even the music is great. Fits really well with the story. Overall I feel it's very immersive and for an RPG Maker game it's well worth the $10 price tag. Highly recommend it.

Here's my review of H1Z1 based on Early Access with about 60 hours total actual game play (says 99 hrs played but the game has a bug where it stays open after closing, hence the larger time played) after 1 month of purchasing H1Z1.

Fun game with active dev team, constant updates. and a bright future. If you like the Day Z Arma 2 mod, Rust, 7 Days To Die, I would recommend giving this game a shot as it's a combination of all those games. SoE (or Daybreak Gaming) has taken a lot of the great concepts that made those games great in their own way. improved on them, and created H1Z1. Some pros and cons:

Pros:
- Constant Updates and Patches
- Fun and easy to learn crafting system
- Vehicles
- Battle Royale mode which is awesome
- Base Building (still in the works, buggy right now)
- Zombies! Also need some work but that's not a priority for the dev team right now as they stated
- Good hitboxes and combat system feels polished

Cons:
- Hackers rampant which should be addressed while the game progresses
- Lots of bugs, glitches, which is normal for an alpha game
- $20 price tag even though game will be free to play on release. They should consider keeping it a paid game.
- Not enough Battle Royale servers right now
- Several other unfinished areas and features of the game, which for some might be a dealbreaker. But again, early access alphas will always have these cons.

Overall: 8/10 right now even in alpha with the chance to be 10/10 on actual release.

Good game
