A cult classic Sonny game, now on Steam. No more, no less. There's no graphic updates in this compared to the Adobe Flash version, but it now runs on your PC without Adobe Flash requirements, so there's that.

Feels very different from other Half-Life games; instead of a fast-paced shooter, this is a slow, methodic game with too many horror elements. If you want more of the Half-Life you love, this is not the game for you. Play community HL2 mods instead.

Only pick this game up if you are planning on playing it with the first-person mod, or if you already have VR hardware. Do not buy VR hardware just for this game. You will be disappointed.

For this review, game was played on an RTX 3090 and a Valve Index in full-room VR.

Story-first, linear RPG in an amazing world. The quality of the story and the focus on it are second to none.

Great story, great RPG mechanics (based on DnD 5e), long, multiple choices... a phenomenal RPG alltogether. Must play, for tihs is a truly unique experience.

A great classic escape-the-room game. The puzzles do not get boring despite the game being quite long. It is entirely hand-drawn and looks absolutely amazing; every single room is gorgeous. The atmosphere and the music are phenomenal.

Gorgeous story and music. A great visual novel. If you like this type of games, this is a must play.

The base game has a good story, with the Tresspasser DLC (which is included in the purchase) it becomes a great one, with grandiose twists and characters being deeply integrated into the game's story. However, for the most part, except the ending and the Tresspasser DLC it is a feel-good story where you can relax and most of the time nothing bad happens - if you want some "grey morale instead of black and white morale" story you'll have to look elsewhere.

The combat reminds me of a MMO, which makes the gameplay very fun, but also somewhat methodical. It is, like many other aspects of the game, very relaxing.

The graphics and level design are superb. This is easily the best-looking RPG between Skyrim, Witcher 2, and Witcher 3. Only Baldur's Gate 3 can compete with it in terms of gorgeous and fantasy-like level designs, but DA:I has way more of them and with better variety. It uses several hand-crafted maps set in different biomes: jungles, forests, deserts, canyons, mountains, shores, and so forth.

Voice acting and actor performances are the highpoint of BioWare: their VA directing team was legendary.

TL;DR: Great RPG if you want to relax, play a feel-good story and not sweat it. My personal favorite to unwind between Witcher games, Skyrim, and BG3 - it's just so fun to play.

The game is best compared to Mass Effect 2's loyalty missions - the entirety of Guardians is just that. Linear, detailed levels where you with your party has some of the best banter that you've ever heard in video games.

Add to that a really good, mature writing and good humor.

Fantastic game.

First off: graphics and gameplay are vastly improved compared to the first game. If that's all you care about and you liked Innocence, go buy this, you'll like it.

However, if you really care about story, this game will be a disappointment. The journey is good, but the ending reminds me of Game of Thrones Season 8: the writers had no idea what to do and wrote themselves into a corner. Without any spoilers: the ending makes the entire journey of both games useless; the character growths of the protagonists are foreseeable and in my opinion arrive way too late. The protagonists should've already learned the lessons that the game ending teaches them by Chapter 2. And the post-credits scene(s) one-up this even further by adding an additional "it did not matter at all" level in the end.

So: good game, great story up to the very end. Ending is GoT: season 8 levels of bullcrap for me.

This game is a cousin of Dishonored. It is a lot more dynamic - like A Crack in the Slab in Dishonored 2 - but lacks in storytelling/world building as a trade-off. Still very fun, especially if you enjoy "breaking" games in creative ways.
