Kinda went off gaming for a while and was looking for new genres and types of games to play to get back into it all, always been interested in strategy stuff but never thought I would have the time to learn,

CIV VI has been a great stepping stone into the genre, and although still learning the ropes - Having a blast!

I have no idea what I am doing. 11/10

Do you listen to Lofi Girl or watch Study / Productivity streams on Twitch? Then you'll love this.

A really neat tool to assist with work, school or just chilling out! If you have ever used Virtual Cottage (which is awesome too) then you'll be right at home here.

The difference with Spirit City is it has a lot of awesome options to customize the aesthetic of your room, companions and clothing - It's actually quite deep! Another cool feature is the Spiritdex, almost kinda like Pokemon - You can find cute critters every so often and have them by your side, this also allows you to level up and unlock more things to wear or deck out your room with.

My favorite feature though, would be the ability to mix and match sounds on the fly - Just want a little bit of rain with some brown noise (or pink and white), done. Or maybe you enjoy the sound of food cooking away with some birds chirping away outside, hey that's here too - You can change the volume of everything as you please to suit until you get the perfect mix going, Almost all of the sounds have visual elements as well which is really immersive, I really like that you can toggle everything on or off as well - I really like the night time setting with a thunderstorm, some brown noise and the fire + record player on mute, but with the visual going.

The lofi tunes are really nice as well, nice ethereal stuff with dreamy beats and soft piano melodies. and there is a huge selection of tracks right off the bat, Spirit City also has a super easy option to use web radio as well if you want to jam away to YouTube mixes or channels.

Lastly, you can pat the cat (and all the companions).

It's a winner and I can't wait to see how it evolves over time!!

Have been playing since early beta and really do enjoy what Palia has to offer, just shifted my account to Steam.

As I am writing this, the game is still in beta (it literally says it on the title screen when you login.. I have no idea what some of the other reviewers are on about).

To sum it up, Palia is a cosy MMO-lite experience,. emphasis on "lite" - This isn't WoW or Final Fantasy, but more in line with Warframe, Diablo IV or Destiny in terms of the social side, people are there but it's not really busy.

The game itself is simple and relaxing enough, you'll craft stuff, chat with the NPCs and do other chill activities like fishing, catching bugs and chopping trees down, there is a lot to do and if you enjoy the simple pace of games like Stardew and Animal Crossing , you'll dig Palia.

Game is F2P so of course it has MTX, they are purely cosmetic if you want to support the game - The ingame reewards are still very generous and you can easily look awesome without paying a cent.

Game has it's bugs, some stuttering (for me anyway) when entering main towns and the like, nothing game breaking and I am sure over time these kinks will be ironed out.

TLDR: If you enjoy cosy crafting games, you'll dig Palia.

One of the best survivors-like games out right now.

Takes the charm of the awesome original and injects it with the chaos of Halls of Torment, Vampire Survivors & Greedland. The mining mechanic is easy and intuitive, probably one of the harder titles in the genre at first, it will take a bit of grinding.

This is some quality analogue horror. unnerving atmosphere and aesthetic.

Can't wait to see how this one grows.

If you are a new user looking for a great video editor, honestly - Movavi ROCKS. I come from a background of using Final Cut Pro and Premier and yes while those tools are on the much more professional side, they can be daunting to learn and if you are like me - and just want to edit videos without needing a degree in learning it, Movavi is really damn good, simple to use and actually quite powerful under the hood for basic editing.

If it ain't broke, as they say. I upgraded from the 2022 version (never used 2023) and it is pretty much the exact same software, the upside however is editing does feel genuinely snappier and the Ui is a little 'cleaner'.

But, is it worth the upgrade? yes and no, if you are a Mac user, 100% - It runs on Mac OS like a dream and Windows is perfectly fine as well. Aside from that, the performance upgrade is noticeable enough that if you edit a lot of videos, I would make the upgrade.

Works great on Windows 11, super easy to use as well, worth it if you want to make some changes to your start menu & task bar.
